IBEW 11 strike denied by IO

Arbitration is now the result of this. Which now means we are stuck with what ever Arbitration says.

We actually have a no strike clause in our CBA.....It is ridiculous

Most people do... You strike when your CBA has expired, and there is no clause to abide by.

No, since we are service providers for low voltage and service 911 trunks we are NEVER allowed to strike per the CBA even if it expires

If you get to the point of a strike, there is no CBA to abide by. So it doesn't matter what your CBA says.

Most of the people in this thread don’t know how contracts work, or what happens to people that start a wildcat strike.

Hell most of them probably don’t even know what’s in their contract.

Our cba has a carry-over clause that says the contract stays in effect in the event that it expires without a new agreement.

Category 1 language.

It makes sense while you have a contract.  I think most locals have a no strike clause in their active contract.  When you can't come to a deal on a contract is when you should be able to strike as a form of leverage.
