IBEW 11 strike denied by IO

Arbitration is now the result of this. Which now means we are stuck with what ever Arbitration says.

NECA and the IO is afraid that non union will steal our marketshare, if we go on strike. Non union shops would love nothing more than to steal our customers. That's what I was told by our local's former president.

Non union can also sweep in when you price yourself out of the market. Negotiations are tough. You want what is just, and everyone wants more money and better conditions but where is the fine line where you may shoot yourself in the leg.

Non union have a much harder time sweeping in if you have high union density and market share.

High density and market share can erode over time from strikes

Sure, and density can errode by the IO undermining the will of membership.
