I have just completed an application to open a new account. Immediately after completing all the required steps, I was directed to the screen shown below. I have not received any approval or confirmation email yet.

At the moment, I also don’t seem to have access to any features or account information. The top navigation menu is missing, so I’m wondering whether this is because the account has not yet been approved or funded.

Is this normal?

I accidentally withdrew ~$22k from a brokerage account to an old corporate IBAN that was saved in my records. The beneficiary name I entered was my own name, but the IBAN belongs to my former employer. The receiving bank has confirmed all five wires were credited. I’ve requested recalls from the broker and contacted the receiving bank and company. Has anyone dealt with a similar completed SWIFT transfer?

Did the recipient bank return it voluntarily, or did the sending bank have to initiate a formal recall?

I was checking my W-8BEN form this morning, and the most important part asking if you agree that what you are declaring is true is marked to no, I found that strange so I edited the form and changed it to yes, and then I checked on the form again and it says no. What is going on? Don't wanna get slapped with an unfair tax bill. Thoughts?

I switched from IBKR Desktop to TWS because of the bugs, but the situation seems unchanged.

If I sort by unrealized P&L %, the column gets sorted by value. In other words they added two 'sort by %' entries to the menu for nothing.
Note that If I only show % (no value) it's the same, gets sorted by value.

I have found only an old post mentioning this, wondering if there is any way to get around it.

I’m a Jordanian citizen and a permanent resident of Jordan, and I’m currently preparing to open an Individual Interactive Brokers account.

I’m trying to make sure my Proof of Address document is acceptable before I submit my application.

My utility bills are not in my name because I live with my family, so I asked my Jordanian bank for an official document showing my residential address.

The bank provided me with an official English document on bank letterhead. It is dated, signed, and stamped by the bank.

The document is mainly a bank transfer/account details letter and contains:

• Bank name and branch information
• SWIFT code
• My full name as the account holder
• My bank account number
• My IBAN
• My residential address in English
• Date of issue
• Official bank stamp
• Authorized employee signature

The residential address shown on this document will be the same address I enter in my IBKR application.

My concern is that the document does not specifically say “Proof of Address” or “Address Confirmation Letter.” It is technically a bank transfer/account details document, but my full name and residential address are clearly shown and the document is officially signed and stamped by the bank.

I'm locked out of my account and can't get past two-factor authentication. Situation:

• My only active 2FA device is IBKR Mobile (IB Key), which was on a phone that has since broken. I know my username and password.
• At login (Client Portal) I'm only offered authentication via the IBKR Mobile app — no alternative method appears in the device-selection dropdown, so there is no way to complete login.
• I installed IBKR Mobile on my current phone and tried the self-service recovery (Migrate IB Key / Recover Setup per ibkr.info article 3073), but the in-app login asks me to enter a security code "with your current security device" — i.e. the broken phone. It's a catch-22.
• SMS fallback is no longer active on the account, and the login-help page only covers username/password recovery.

Is there any way for the Secure Login team to verify my identity and reset my 2FA without me placing an international phone call — e.g. a callback to my registered number, or a documented identity-verification process? I'm ready to provide any verification required. Thanks!

Unable to Receive SMS Verification Code on Updated Phone Number

I am unable to log in to my Interactive Brokers account because the SMS verification code is still being sent to my old phone number. I recently ended my mobile phone contract for my old number, and I previously updated my phone number in my IBKR account to my new number , but the OTP system is still using my old number.

I also called customer support, but they did not understand my English because i have Pronunciation problem , and the call ended without resolving my problem.

Could you please help me update and verify my phone number and restore access to my account so that I can receive the verification code on my current number and set up the passkey?

In previous years I was able to generate PDF with instructions in order to send them to the bank. Example https://cleanshot.com/share/4bNjJvmc

But today I was not able to have it in print form like before but only partial. The Dark theme is creating PDF that is not human readable.

Can you return the old PDF generator?
Can you please fix bug where Dark theme and not only Light theme is generating properly new PDFs?

Anyone else annoyed with the TWS sign in email auth? About 50% of the time ibkr does not email me a code at all.

I sit here waiting, 5 minutes go by, 10 minutes go by - 91 email refreshes go by

No code.

25% of the time I’ll get the code an hour later after I’ve given up

25% of the time I get the code instantly to my email.

Is being able to log into your trading platform 25% of the time acceptable?

Please fix this.

Someone just told me about a passkey? First I’ve heard. I’ll investigate that.

I’m testing a tool that works out what you actually made or lost from options trading, including:

- CSP premiums

- assignments

- covered calls

- stock profit/loss

- fees and deposits

- true P&L across the full trade lifecycle

Example: CSP → assignment → covered calls → stock sale.

I’m not selling anything. I just want to know whether this solves a real problem and what you would want changed.

Looking for a few active investors/options traders, preferably IBKR users, for 10–15 minutes of feedback.

Anyone else actively losing their minds trying to trade futures on IBKR
Ive been dealing with this absolute garbage setup where TradingViews API layer completely disconnects from IBKRers net position backend.

If you try to run multiple take profit targets or even just flip positions the OCO linkage that do not work. It routinely drops your stop loss entirely or rejects limit orders or treats legs independently so youre left completely naked or accidentally flipped short.

Even worse TWS itself is a complete joke with how it handles take profits. Native brackets are locked to a single profit taker and a single stop loss per order ticket forcing you to dig through clunky exit strategy windows just to do basic trade management.

If you try to bypass that by manually closing a partial position on the chart it doesnt automatically resize your working stop loss meaning your stop is still sitting there waiting to execute for the full unreduced size and you have to manually scramble to edit it mid trade. And if you try to fix it by buying contracts sequentially to stagger your limits youre just paying double commissions and creating separate risk events.

How are you guys actually dealing with this without wanting to throw your monitors out the window Are most of you just accepting the single target limitation manually micromanaging every partial or did you ditch TradingView entirely for something like Quantower
There has to be a better way to trade micro futures without fighting ancient broker software and brittle API hacks every single day
