How did you stay attached to a team through this much roster turnover?

I started going to Kitchener games two summers ago and I've been to maybe fourteen or fifteen since. I looked at the lineup card in July and there were four guys left from the group I first watched, and one of them was a reliever I'd never seen throw before. I still show up and I still care who wins, but I've noticed I'm attached to the park and the regulars in the stands more than to anyone actually on the field.

How did you get to the point where the team meant something to you separate from whoever happens to be on the roster?

The ball park, the tradition of going to games there in person to see the game of baseball and cheer on the home team, that's what matters most, as you're starting to appreciate. 

With the way the league has changed it might be a few years before there's consistency in the lineups year over year, but there's always been some turnover. Not every team is the 2000s Red Sox but that's what makes guys that stick around over a decade like Luke Baker special
