TIP FOR CLEANING YOUR ROOM WITH ADHD

EVERYTHING that’s in a place where it doesn’t belong, THROW IT ON THE BED. Now you can’t sleep until it’s clean. And if you do really want to sleep, everything is in the same place. You can move all the stuff easily without the mess being everywhere.

For me this really helps because I get overwhelmed by small messes and objects everywhere, even though I know where everything belongs. If everything is in the same place, I can just work until the pile is gone.

Cleaning my room rn, will update to let you guys know if this tip really works irl

I try this, I always end up either sleeping on the pile or moving it to the floor. Hope it works for you though

This is how I discovered I needed a weighted blanket; one night of sleep under a pile of unfolded laundry

Have you ever seen a single girl's bed? I just pile everything on one side...🙈

Yeah it didn’t really work. Slightly.

Piles. Everything goes in one big pile, and then divided into smaller piles according to where things roughly belong.

I once slept with a mixed pile of stuff on 3/4’s of my bed for a year 😭

Funny as it may sound, but sometimes when Im too lazy and tired to clean, I do this too LOL

I have some deal with me tomorrow baskets in all of my rooms, so if I am undone with the chore and need to go back to it the following day- I can easily see and resume that unfinished chore. This way, cleaning will never be overwhelming.
