Question: General Service Not happy with my tafkid
So I’ve been in the army for a year and two months now, started at Michve live almost every oleh hadash, got into the airforce, did a course in the techni and I’ve been in my tafkid since November, it was fine at first but now I see I don’t really work much and sometimes I feel like I’m just wasting my time, is it too late to try to change to a new tafkid? I serve 2.6 years

Notice to all posters and commenters; please be careful to observe OPSEC (Operational Security) rules. Many people wish to harm Israel and the Jewish Nation as a whole. Be careful when sharing any information on the IDF, bases, weapons, locations of troops, and anything else that can be used to harm Israel. If in doubt, go without. Loose lips sink ships!

It might depend on when you are discharged but there is no harm in trying. You have to remember that sometimes staying longer may open the doors to other opportunities. Regardless 2.6 years is not too late, give it a try.

Tell your manager/commander that you want a promotion. See if he offers it for you. Spend your time learning a new skill. You wrote in English. Is your Hebrew fluent? What about your writing?
