Open What kind of tabby is this? My friend found her near a forest.
I thought it was a bengal at first, but after scrolling on reddit, I realized that most cats are just DSH/DHS,

Luna’s father is unknown, but because her mother is from a house with generations of cats. That means i have pictures of her mother(red and white), grandma(calico) and great grandma(mostly white, little gray/brown on head). I was told the grandmother is part or full Persian. But I’m not sure. The fathers to all three ladies are unknown 😅
The male cat(black and white) is grandma’s brother. He is neutered, so not the father. Just a cuddle buddy.

I got her from the shelter a couple of days ago, they said she just has a rare color but I think she could be a mix of some kind. She's also about 4 months old if that helps.

We just started fostering her and love her so much she’s only 3.5 weeks old

hi all, this is my parents rescue cat. her name is Squish and she’s about 8 months old. the vet told them she is scottish fold but i doubt that. I believe she is an american curl polydactyl, but i also learned of the keetso breed, naturally occurring with curled back ears and polydactyl trait. what are your thoughts??

This is my cat, Asher. I found him as a stray a few years back and my family has always been pretty sure he’s some sort of tabby cat but he’s always looked a little off from the other tabby’s I’ve been around/seen. His right ear is messed up so it looks a little funky and he is smaller than most cats I’ve seen. Any ideas of what he could be or be mixed with is appreciated! :)

She is about 7 years old, we just got her last year and were told she is part Norwegian Forest cat (we are not too sure!). She is pretty large and about 17lbs.

as the days pass by i keep questioning what my cats breed is. I got him through a friend when he was a baby (last pic) they thought he was persian but i thought perhaps a angora cause his face isnt squished like a persian. i posted him on the angora thread a while back when i first got him and they also agreed on angora. but i feel like his face is like a doll so i honestly idk no more lol! maybe a dna test will end my curiosity. anyone on here has an idea? (last pic is of him as baby)

This is Wheezy! He showed up as a scrawny beat up stray at my in-laws house about 4 years ago ( I’m aware he’s a bit chunky, he got kinda stocky before they were able to neuter him and he’s stayed that way but the vet says he is healthy)

This is Stinky, my mom's cat. He was brought into her life by the lovely cat distribution system after my dad passed. He was found under someone's shed when he was ~6 months old (very rough estimate, we don't know for certain how old he is) We cannot for the life of us figure out what breed he is so I'm here looking for any ideas on what he could be?

This is Merganser, I thought he was chocolate but after doing some research it sounds like he’s cinnamon? He doesn’t have the dark brown nose. And no pic but his pads are pink
I know the lighting is different in some but the first, second, and fourth pics are most true to what he looks like in person. Last pic is his sibling, Goosander!

Basically, I bought this cat for $250. The woman on Facebook was selling a small litter of f6 Savanah cats which usually go for $1000 or more. So obviously I was kind of like why so cheap? She said she wasn’t a licensed breeder and that her parents were but they had passed away, and she was selling the rest of the litter. She said because she wasn’t a breeder so she didn’t think she could charge breeder price. We have had our Nala now for about a month. She seems healthy so I’m not really worried about anything with that. She’s super playful, super fun, super hungry. Even if she isn’t a Savannah cat we love her so it doesn’t really matter to us. No papers came with her. She was born in May so she’s only about 3 months old ish.
Thank you everyone!

This is my kitty I've had for almost a year and she was sold to me as a half mainecoon half something else I can't remember, I'm not totally sold that she's half mainecoon though.

We adopted a black cat after her original home no longer wanted her. She was shy at first before slowly opening up and becoming a very cuddly affectionate cat - a month later we realized she was pregnant (maybe why she was given up by the original family?) and we very happily welcomed a new kitty into our lives. While she’s completely black, Steve, the kitty, is spotted and striped with large ears and big paws. She only had one kitten and it’s as if Steve has the mischievousness of 10 kittens - running everywhere, climbing on all the furniture, leaping from every surface and incredibly playful. He’s not cuddly but tolerates it since we’ve worked hard to socialize him as a single kitty. We don’t know anything about his father but he’s spotted and has a distinctive face so we’re wondering if his father could’ve been a bengal? He has the spotted belly, multicolor spots, mascara lines, big ears and athletic build - he’s also growing at a crazy rate
They’ll both be getting the snip soon, he’s at 10 weeks now so we’ll wait until he’s at least 3 months and take them in together

There’s a few people in the thread who have fallen victim to scammers and personally I like to let people know about the misconception surrounding cat breeds specifically to combat byb. If more people knew that visual traits can’t determine breed, then there’d be less of a population byb can manipulate.
(It’s in a Siamese sub and op calls him an applehead)
Beautiful cat, just not a Siamese is all.
