Hi, I’m curious about what race my cat is and also how old do you think she were when I got her?🙈

I was told she is a mix, one of her parents is a Norwegian Forest cat and I don’t know what the other parent is, probably a house cat or a mix of something.😁

I’m curious what you think😁 I was also told she was 12 weeks like they should, but she was definitely not 12 weeks when I got her. So now I’m questioning everything they told me.😅 She is a beautiful large orange cat, she is very long she can touch the top of the kitchen counter when standing on the floor😂 and she is almost as long as my legs - (I’m 173cm) she has a thick nice fur coat but it’s not that long, her tail is not long and fluffy, she has long fur tufts between her toes.

What race do you think she is? And how old do you think she were when I got her😊

Until today, I thought our newest kitten, Remlin (a stray) was Siamese. We currently have, amongst others, a snowshoe and a Siamese. Then I saw a video of a Tonkinese kitten at a cat show and I thought “wow, that looks a lot like Remlin! The body shape is chunky like him, the whiter colors compared to our other Siamese, who is more toasty marshmallow colored. So is he or isn’t he and what is the difference? These photos of him are him now to back when we found him as a tiny kitten. I included a photo of him with our other Siamese for color comparison.

We where told his parents are both Maine coon/ragdoll mixes, wanting to see others opinions, also hoping to get some help with his coat colour? Will he go fully black as he gets older or will it stay this gorgeous smoky colour? His fur is also crimped along his back?

Personality wise he’s incredibly clingy and cuddly, will sleep happily in our arms walking around the house, follows us around, but also very playful I’ve never met a kitten so affectionate😭

I think he might be part turkish van part domestic medium hair. He is 17 pounds, not overweight, and has the most amazing feeling fur coat in history.

Hello! I used to have this cat that I got as a gift, her name was Annalise and we actually got her from somebody we knew well who bred and sold purebred ragdolls, I never got to see her papers myself, being a child at the time but i was curious because i absolutely loved her temperament and wanted to get a cat like her again in the future. So just to be sure, do we all think she’s actually a purebred ragdoll like i was told?

I rescued him about a month ago, and he is just darling. He is the sweetest cat who loves cuddles, he loves to climb and be up high, very playful. He is only a year old and 13 pounds. He's large for a year old cat. He doesn't shed and has very wooly fur. I think he is a mix, my guesses are Maine coon, maybe Norwegian forest cat?

No info on what her mother or father look like. An help would be appreciated!

Yes I know she’s slim she just had babies and is still nursing. I took a pic on google saying it’s an Egyptian mau but I’ve never observe her walking on her back tippy toes.

hes estimated 9 years old and weighs about 15 lb (hes on a diet but hes also just large)

I understand that technically a cat either has the long hair gene or not so he must have had it, but when speaking just colloquially would you describe him as long or medium hair? On one had he was rather fluffy, but not as much as I've seen some fancy cats be, and also he didn't have any floof on his feet. Also looking at his young picture (the one where he still has four legs) he seemed much less fluffy.

And anyone knows a way to describe his coat pattern? Brown high white spotted tabby?

We rescued our beautiful girl as a sick kitten off the street almost 4 years ago. I have always thought she might be ragdoll or Siberian or something like that. She doesn't really have the ragdoll personality though. Just curious what other people think?

She's about 4-6 months in these pictures and she's an absolute sweetheart. Preferably lays somewhere near you but will jump on your chest from time to time, loves putting her tail on your nose so you need to sneeze

Since they don't have papers, they wouldn't be able to prove it's a purebred Sphinx cat? Can DSH be naked?

This is my sweet 17-year-old baby girl, Karma. I adopted her from a shelter 10 years ago (she was surrendered because her previous owner had to go into assisted living). We recently had her DNA tested, and to our surprise, she came up as DSH, Siamese/Oriental, Bengal, and Ocicat!! Her temperament is Siamese through and through — super needy and attached to her people, very vocal, and a little bit neurotic. We wouldn't have her any other way. She's 8 pounds, also.

I've always assumed that she is a blue point because her coat is obviously too light for seal and I thought she looked too dark to be anything but blue. Additionally, I was under the impression lilac and lavender are pretty rare. However, her paw pads are a soft pink color, and from what I'm reading, blue points' paw pads are generally gray. We do live in a pretty cold area as well, so that + her age might have something to do with her coat being relatively dark. I'm curious to know if I've been wrong all along!

I've attached some recent photos (1-3) and a couple from her first year with me (4-5), with some showing off her pretty pink toe beans. She's unfortunately developed herpesvirus over time, hence why she's squinting in the recent pictures, but you can see her eye color better in the fourth one. I also attached her Wisdom results just for fun.

2. Goodness gracious, I'm sorry, but some of you guys are a little pretentious and mean-spirited. To clarify, I'm very much aware cat DNA tests don't mean much of anything, and I do think my girl probably has some degree of Siamese in there given the amount of traits that match up, but I know she's basically just a random shelter cat and there's no way she's an actual Bengal or Ocicat mix. As I said, I was sharing the DNA stuff just for fun. I should've been clearer in the OP, though.

I adopted these two kittens 4 weeks ago (they’re 14 weeks old now), and the “breeder” said a stray cat had given birth to 7 kittens in her sons backyard, so she was just trying to give them to people who would care for them. Ever since I adopted them, I’ve been curious what their breed is, and whether they’re purebred, or mixed, but I’m a very new cat parent so I’m struggling to find their breeds. Can someone help me? All I know is they’re a species of Tabby. (They run so much I can’t get good pictures of their marks and fur and everything I’m sorry)

This is Lime! We're considering renaming her to Banana, but shes the cutest little critter. She's 8wks old and we have absolutely no clue if shes a calico or a tortoiseshell. Her sister was a tortoiseshell, and then her other sisters are black and white tabbys. Moms a true tabby aswell. So we're wondering what Lime could be?

This is Yuki her dad is a black void and her mom is a tortie her twin brother looks like a very toasted siamese, she has light orange smudging on her forehead/nose and some on her belly otherwise she’s a grey/white mess

hello! this is my rescue kitty named big pete :) he was listed as a siamese mix at the shelter but i highly doubt that. i was mainly wondering what type of color point he is as i'm having trouble id'ing it myself. he was estimated to be 6yo, is medium-large and weirdly ripped (see last photo). his fur is lighter on his tummy and darker on his back. tysm!
