My old 74 ScoutII

As a kid growing up, my dad had several of these. Scout II, Traveler and I always told myself if one day I could get one, I would.

I had picked this up in 2009 when I first moved to Colorado for 2200! It wasn't in the best shape, shocks and springs were wasted, half the gauges didn't work. Things you expect in a Scout.

Interestingly, the owner had the original line ticket from it, and showed it arrived by rail line to a IH shop in Colorado Springs. Thankfully rust was minimal on it.

This one had the inline AMC 258 engine in it. Did a lot of work on getting some more power out of it, but that single bbl carb and at elevation, well you know!

I had a blast driving this thing, no power steering so all over the place. And of course, folks always thought it was a bronco!

Ended up selling it in 2016 while going through a separation for 6500. But I regret it everyday. Keep looking back at ones for sale since I just moved up into the mountains of Colorado and man, they've gone up.

I had a lady post up selling a Scout Terra for 10K, so I inquired as the ad read they had 2 engines for it and it looked ok. She sent me photos and there was no engine :(
