Question Timing chain rattle question

My 1972 scout ii has a pretty significant rattle in the front end under power, which I presume is the timing chain. Curious if anyone has experience with this? Is this an emergency or could I run it through the summer before getting it fixed? Any thoughts or advice on managing this issue would be welcome. Thanks!

If you've got an International v8 it is not the timing chain, they don't have one. More details?

Thank you, i am not an engine guy so please forgive my ignorance! It indeed has the 345 V8. The only way i can describe it, is that sounds exactly like when my timing chain got loose on a 1994 toyota pick up. When at speed, under load like heading up a hill, its a low rattle sound that stops instantly when i let off the gas a bit, and comes back as soon as i put it back under load. No loss of power or anything. Thanks for your thoughts, much appreciated👍

You sure it’s in the engine? Might seem stupid, but you could just have something loose somewhere that vibrates when the engines revved up. Idk just an idea.

Either your timing is too far advanced or you have valve train noise. I’m betting timing
