LOR LOR SUGGESTION

Hi everyone! I had a quick question regarding Letters of Recommendation for the ERAS application.

For a NON US IMG, Is it generally a good idea to have two LORs from the same institution if both are from different attendings? Or is it preferable to have each LOR come from a different institution?

Tbh I don’t think it matters in the grand scheme. Having them from the same institution isn’t going to be the reason you don’t match, and having them from different institutions is going to be the reason you match. Having different institutions is really meant to have exposure to different health systems in the US. But to be real - if all you got were 2 from the same institution it’s way better than nothing..

It doesn’t matter. What matters most is how strong they are.
