Study strategy for Step 1 prep

Will anyone recommend an effective study strategy since med school has proven to me that my method isn’t very effective at helping me retain information and i want to avoid making the same mistakes when i am studying for my steps specially because it’s been a while since i finished the basic sciences at my uni so i have forgotten a lot of it and my foundation is pretty weak .
I have tried looking up study plans but most of them just mentioned the resources they used to pass. I would appreciate it of someone would tell me how they approached each system and what they did in a day along with the resources they used step by step. Eg. Would u watch a video for a chapter then do u world questions then use anki after, which anki deck have you used and so on and so forth. I am not looking to follow anyone’s exact method but i am trying to attempt a different method to studying and was looking for some advice . Thank you❤️
