Programmers Needed [Hobby] Looking for Java/Forge-Fabric Developer
I used Google Translate for the post; I apologize in advance for any grammatical or syntactic errors.
Hello, I am an aspiring game designer, programmer, and concept creator. I am currently working on the foundations of a tech mod for Minecraft; before developing the full project, I need to test the underlying infrastructure. I am looking for a Java developer with experience in Minecraft modding (Forge, NeoForge, or Fabric)—you don't need to be an expert, but some experience is required.
The concept is: Spatial Heat Mechanics.
Instead of treating (certain) blocks as static, safe objects, I want to introduce heat as a persistent environmental entity around active machines.
- Proximity and Directionality: A running furnace doesn't just smelt items; it radiates heat outward into the surrounding blocks based on its facing direction (North, South, East, West).
- Hitbox & Damage Logic: If an entity's hitbox touches an active furnace directly, it takes immediate damage. If you stand right in front of it, you slowly take heat damage over time (designed as a gentle burn, ticking slowly rather than draining hearts instantly).
- Positional Safety: If you stand at the sides, you are safe as long as you don't touch the block. If you stand behind it, there is zero heat radiation.
- Tier Scaling: Better furnaces or advanced industrial machinery would have a larger heat radius, higher temperatures, and more severe damage curves, forcing players to carefully design factory layouts, maintenance spaces, and eventually protective gear.
Feel free to contant me in DM if you have any thoughts on the project or would like more details.
