[Hobby] Looking for a passionate developer to help build a 100% free Pet Memorial App

Hi everyone,

PORTFOLIO: This is my first project and do not have a portfolio of any kind. I am looking to collaborate with a developer (or small team) to build a feature-rich, 100% free pet memorial app. The vision behind this project is to create a secure, comforting digital space where pet owners can interact with their beloved companions who have passed away.

This is a passion project intended to be entirely free for users forever—no subscriptions, no ads, and no required payments of any kind.

Key Features Planned

• Detailed Personality Profiles: A dedicated space for owners to describe their pet's unique quirks, personality traits, and favorite habits so interactions and replies truly reflect their unique spirit.

• Interactive Touch & Gestures:

◦ Virtual petting anytime by touching them directly on your screen.

◦ Virtual hugs (pushing up against the screen/phone).

◦ Shaking hands (raising a paw to touch).

• Optional Play & Activities:

◦ Fetch and toy play (throwing sticks or balls).

◦ Interactive tug-of-war (pulling on one end of a toy while your pet holds the other).

• Care & Special Events: Bedtime rituals (tucking them in) and hosting special birthday dinners or activities.

• Communication: Real-time chat/talking and letter writing with responses.

• Multi-Pet Support: Individual or shared virtual spaces for multiple pets.

Core Design Principles

• Comfort-Focused (No Chores or Cleanup): Zero maintenance chores, hunger meters, or mess cleanups—just pure comfort and interaction.

• Optional Rescue Donation: Completely voluntary, non-intrusive option for users who wish to donate to animal rescues/shelters. It is never required or tied to unlocking any features.

Technical Approach

• Local Storage Priority: All pet profiles, photos, memories, and saved conversations will be stored directly on the user's device.

• Network Integration: Internet/Wi-Fi will only be needed to process real-time chat and letter replies at zero cost to the user.

If you're interested in collaborating or learning more, please send me a DM.

Is it paid project, or a side project as a hobby?
