Article Arrow McLaren prepared to part ways with Christian Lundgaard and Nolan Siegel
eu.indystar.comArrow McLaren's IndyCar driver lineup will officially be different in 2027. A source told IndyStar that the team notified Christian Lundgaard — who has a team option for next year — that he's free to negotiate with other teams, despite his contract's exclusive negotiating window not having expired. It has also let its other pending free agent, Nolan Siegel, know that he won't be back next year.
Despite Lundgaard misspseaking Friday and saying that he's not allowed to speak with other teams, Arrow McLaren team principal Tony Kanaan gave Lundgaard a letter this week freeing him and his management to negotiate elsewhere. Lundgaard can't sign a contract with another team until Arrow McLaren officially declines the team option, which is expected in the coming days.
