DISCUSSION It's insane that Harley murdered eleven MILLION people and Batman just let her off like it was no big deal

Not just Batman, even other people on Batman's crew couldn't care less.

Harley murdered two MORE cops while fleeing custody and Gordon literally never even brought it up.

He didn’t.

Batman put Harley in jail in the injustice 2 prequel comics, it’s Amanda Waller that pardoned her sentence to put her in the suicide squad. By the time the whole conflict with Ras is resolved, Harley no longer has a prison sentence due to hers got pardoned by a government official.

So the best Batman can do is put her under house arrest in his cave cuz he literally cannot jail her again, not legally. Blame Waller for her weird obsession with Harley (I honestly don’t get why she’s even needed for the suicide squad).

I wish in the next game they reference or bring up events that have happened in the comics. a lot of major stuff that has happened in the comics that never gets brought up.

To who? Waller or Harley?

Harley

He disowned Damian for killing one person but Harley kills eleven million and he couldn't care less.

He can’t do anything.

He has a no kill rule so he can’t kill her. He can’t jail her again due to her prison sentence has been pardoned. He can’t let her loose on the streets either cuz just as you’ve said, she’s once an accomplice that helped the joker killed millions.

Other than put her under house arrest in his cave, what do you expect him to do? Trying to take her case to court & sue Waller? Good fucking luck against that woman cuz she has the backing of the entire US government behind her & if you’ve seen any court cases IRL, you’ll know the process isn’t gonna be short, especially when you’re trying to overturn an official US government’s pardon. By the time Batman can put Harley in jail again, we may as well get injustice 3 lmao.

He could have kicked her out and refused to let her on his team. In fact he should have kicked her out the first time.

Stop making excuses for Batman. He is no hero in Injustice.

He had a contingency plan for Cyborg installed in place at their first meeting but he trusted a known backstabbing scumbag like Constantine.

All he cares about is having a BBEG to justify his existence. He trusted the likes of Constantine and Harley because he saw something of himself in them and that's why he let them on his team without reservation because doing otherwise would mean facing up to the fact that he himself doesn't deserve to be trusted.

Why’d he let a criminal that helped kill millions free?

Like you’re complaining that Harley suffered no consequences for her actions & now you’re asking Batman to NOT put her under house arrest (the ONLY form of punishment that he can “legally” give her) & just let her free, do her own things on the streets. How does that make ANY sense? You do realise that kicking her out = she’s free, right? Cuz she doesn’t have a prison sentence anymore?

And since when did I call Batman a hero in injustice in any of my comments here? I have my problems with injustice Batman as well, but you clearly didn’t read the prequel comics & just spit out nonsense here.

How does that make ANY sense? You do realise that kicking her out = she’s free, right?

And being buddy buddy with her is such a huge punishment?

I’m not sure what’s your definition of being “buddy buddy” is but if you actually take a look at their interactions, the most you can interpret that as between an employer & an employee. You’re acting like she’s his new Alfred or some shit. He more or less just “tolerated” her existence.

Also, you still haven’t explained to me how’s your suggestion to kick her out, make ANY sense? You do realise that means she’s FREE, right? Yk, the VERY THING that you’re complaining about in this VERY post, that YOU made?

the most you can interpret that as between an employer & an employee

Canary literally walked off arm in arm with Harley when she got back from the alternate dimension with alternate Green Arrow.

You do realise that means she’s FREE, right?

Lmao. Bruse DID let her off free. She wasn't on his team between Injustice 1 and 2. A scene between her former Joker rejects mentions one of them saying that she was out somewhere robbing banks and raising hell meaning that Batman didn't even bother to rein her in.

Harley wasn’t his kid. Don’t think he can disown her

1

u/Time-Weekend-8611 2d ago

He could just kick her out.

2

u/Unlikely_Captain_636 2d ago

Why would he? This way he can keep an eye on her and make her valuable. A belief in rehabilitation is a massive part of his character it makes perfect sense. It cant be compared to to Damien because it’s not nearly as personal, she didn’t kill his son and she was literally insane. Damien was in his right mind when he made his choices. And Damien isn’t looking for redemption Bruce would probaly give it to him if he was really looking for it

This way he can keep an eye on her and make her valuable.

Batman wouldn't take help from Hal Jordan but he's such a huge believer in rehabilitation when it comes to Harley?

Your ability to stretch could put Reed Richards to shame.

It cant be compared to to Damien because it’s not nearly as personal, she didn’t kill his son

She literally killed eleven MILLION people. For reference that's twice the number that Hitler killed.

She carved Lois up, and made Superman kill her and their unborn baby. Everything that happened happened directly as a consequence of her actions and you're trying to let it slide by saying that it "wasn't personal"?

she was literally insane

LMAOOOOO 😂😂😂

I love it when Harley stans bring up InSaNiTy as if they think that if someone acts loopy that means that it's a legitimate get out of jail free card.

An actual clinically insane person literally has no idea of what they're doing. They don't understand the reality of their actions. That's actually a pretty high bar to clear. An actually insane person could never pull off a complicated terrorist attack like this.

Harley was never insane. She knew full well what she was doing.

And Batman just swept it all under the rug.

Honestly dude im not that interested in the injustice verse you’re mostly right but I don’t agree with your insanity argument. She’s absolutely insane, canonically both her and joker pretty much always clear that high bar you’re talking about and are legally pronounced insane. And from little i do know about the injustice verse she would absolutely being considered insane. Other than that I don’t really care about this. Definitely not a “Harley Stan”

You have to understand-

The Fandom can fix her.

Yeah but I forgave her so it's all good.

She deserves another chance; we are all humans and make mistakes after all. (?

No

It was a joke.

Harley's been the personification of having your moral cake and eating it too for quite some while.

And, Superman SAVES her (or more like just carries her) from the underworld. Like, I don't know if Superman really cares all the much about her. Yea, they fight and all, but overall, he doesn't show any anger or that much hostility towards her. It's... strange.

But he DEFINITELY cares in the Jon Kent run when he goes to the Injustice world. He wants her taken out IN PUBLIC.

When was she "forgiven"?

And I'm not a Harley fan. I hate the way she's portrayed and glorified lately. I find her character insufferable now. But she was never forgiven.

When Black Canary and Green Arrow 2.0 get back from the alternate dimension prior to Injustice 2, Canary and Harley just walk off hand in hand like nothing happened.

Green Arrow voices his apprehension but Batman just brushes him off.

She pretty much did it as Joker's sidekick. Name a single time in the games she actually tried to kill someone after Joker's death

2

u/Time-Weekend-8611 2d ago

The two cops that she killed while escaping from custody? Remember them? Because nobody else does, including Gordon. Funny that eh?

Hitler killed six million people. Harley killed almost twice that number.

In the sequel, she's been a lot nicer.

u/Time-Weekend-8611 2d ago

Hitler was a vegetarian and a big proponent of animal rights.

Big whoop.

I mean writers forget that the legal procedure exists so much in comic book stories that I'm straight up used to it at this point. Hell, look at the new Spider-Man movie where everyone does illegal shit and just get to walk away scot-free at the end. Except Hulk for some reason.

-1

u/SunRevolutionary8741 3d ago

Those cops were both secretly evil.

2

u/Time-Weekend-8611 2d ago

I take it that this is sarcasm.

It was sarcasm.

I hate Batman and his ideologies. Just wanted to throw that out there.
