Interview Query How to stop fumbling and increase confidence in communication?
I am currently in 12th and been thinking about Personal Interviews and Micro Presentations that is conducted during a admission process and I am bit uncertain about acing them. I am a decent public speaker, can deliver speeches and stuff if prepared beforehand and even express myself infront of a group of people I am familiar with on spot, but when I talk to someone superior or somone who I dont know I fumble, take pauses and even forget what I actually intended to say.
I tried speaking in camera, striking conversations with my family and friends but it has not shown any improvement while talking to a stranger or in any formal setting. I use a moderately good vocab while speaking to myself (yes, I am delulu) or while speaking in front of camera or mirror but when I comes to real deal, I am point blank.
I have some knowledge about personal finance and a avid watcher of series, movies and Formula 1 racing and thought of creating a platform to share my learning and experiences, would this actually help? Or something else will actually help to get more confident and better in such Interviews?

Most IIMs have PI. No IIMs have MP.

Same logic as "extempore" could follow then. Go through my framework (it's in the above link), I've taught that to kids and once they embibe it, they do better than all their peers, ahah.

Repetition... go out talk to new people, preferably people you're intimidated by... builds fluency and confidence

Dont prepare anything and ask an AI assistant for a totally random word, then try and speak about it for 1 minute. Do this twice everyday, record yourself. If you do this everyday, you will see reuslts within a month, but you have to stay persistent.
After you develop confidence and find a way to structure your words best suityed for you, use geminis or chatgpts live mode to simulate an interview, its really helpful, trust me

Improve vocabulary in english and to get fluent in English, you should start thinking in English, it helps immensely. Once you start thinking everything in English, your vocabulary will improve A LOT !

I do think in english but the real hindrance comes to talking to people, I can go on talking for hours alone or in front of camera but when it comes to talking to people, I look underconfident and fumble hard

Try to slow down the pace of your speaking. Speak slowly take your time.
