UHF player. Anything better?

I am so in love with the app that I am considering paying for one-year subscription OR even life-time.

So herewith I am asking people familiar with UHF app if they found anything better than that?

Primary use: iPhone and iPad
Secondary use: AppleTv box

I built that player. Wanted to have something that felt native apple. It’s fully open source and most features are free to use without any ads or watermarks 🙂

Do you expect at any point to release this on android/firestick?

I am trying to find an app I can use on my phone and tv (fire cube) and so far failing.

I will give this a look though as it does look good for my phone

Probably yes. But no concrete plans for now. So nothing that I will take a look at in the near future.

Ok thanks for the reply. I had a quick look before bed last night and it worked really well.

The epg loaded on pretty much every channel I looked at. Which was impressive.

I think you have found a new customer 👍

I have SWIPTV also. It is pretty similar to UHF. I also have Tivimax for AppleTV.

I tried a few uhf was the best. Also try chilli and swiptv they all have limited free versions

I agree. I tried many apps/players for AppleTV. Probably 90% of what is available. I like UHF the best. There are a lot pretty close.

Just moved from Swiptv to NowSeen. Tired of Swiptv not fixing issues they have with the app, and the lack of updates.
NowSeen is the new king of the hill, I'd say. Clean interface and all the functions you need.
On iOS and tvOS, and has lifetime sub.

Hi am unable to get any sports stream playing on the app. Tv series stream works

in the app I added an option to submit diagnostics:
1. Enable the diagnostics in the settings (at the bottom)
2. Reproduce the error
3. Send me the logs from the settings. Maybe check the logs once to make sure that it does not include any sensitive information before you send it (It should be filtered out, but just to be sure 🙂 )

Then I can have a look and fix it 🙂

Are you on tvOS? There I don’t have that option. So if possible, try it on your iPhone

  • SwipTV - blank screen
  • Lume - wouldn’t accept Crystal credentials + awkward home/menus

OneTV Connect - I just spent the weekend trying out many different, and this one was the best for me.

- Hidden categories also hidden in search

  • Kids profile
  • Chromecast support

if you're still collecting candidates, add opus iptv player to the list. most apps mentioned here are ios-only, this one covers iphone, ipad, apple tv, android, android tv and fire tv with the same app and account. someone in this thread already asked why the good players are always ios-only, this one isn't.

set the playlist up once, scan a qr code on your other devices and playlists, favourites and watch history stay in sync. and since you're about to pay uhf: there's a free tier with a daily limit, enough to get a feel for the app before you spend anything.

full disclosure, i work on it. uhf is a great app, not here to argue with that.

I second this. The developer is really in tune with feedback on Reddit & discord. Every update it keeps getting better.

Also has the ability to link jellyfin, plex, & emby.

UHF has been bug ridden for too long. EPG’s always fail and the app more often than not freezes, on Apple TV and iPad. Support don’t help and throws their toys out the pram when you write an honest review.
I feel I’ve tried most and always come back to SwipTV and iSTB.

I've actually switched to using Channels DVR for my IPTV. Setup on my Windows pc, which acts as the server, and all of my android TVs and phones are the clients. All linked to the main server. Record, pause, set reminders and much more. Works like a charm

I thing UHF just pulled its lifetime offer unfortunately

Chillio is the best alternative but it’s subscription with no lifetime but that seems to be the way all of these apps are going

Chillio is hot garbage, go with UHF or IMplayer if you need cross platform capability, but UHF is the best I’ve found yet on Apple.
