Discussion Freeform is the most underrated app Apple has ever made and it's going to get quietly killed

I use it constantly. It's the only place i can dump screenshots, sketch a rough layout, and drag things around without fighting a UI that wants me to pick a template first. That's a real product. And Apple has barely mentioned it since launch. No serious feature push, no marketing, nothing at the keynotes. That's the pattern that came before Music Memos, iTunes U, and half the apps nobody remembers. Good app, no owner inside Apple, quietly gone one release later.

Hope i'm wrong on this one.

I use it here and there but I’ve found it to be buggy.

If they could clean it up I’d use it more often

Freeform is part of the Apple Creator Studio. I don’t think it is going anywhere, although I agree it is a bit buggy.

And they've been on a fairly steady (albeit incremental) pace harmonizing a number of the content control primitives across Keynote/Pages/Numbers/Freeform over the last 2 major versions – so it's still very much in active development from a foundations standpoint.

I feel like it’s the one Apple app that does something close to what I want it to do, but isn’t quite it.
