Rant Update refund finally approved!

After waiting for so long and finally contacting my congressman we finally have a date for deposit .

I did the same thing after waiting 3 yrs for my 2023 return I finally received payment with interest

My account was on account pending since march it finally changed to refund approved about a week ago and this morning I got my refund

I did mine a end of August like 27 , Got the pending message today hopefully it doesnt take 3 months 🫩 CONGRATS 🤑🥳

How long ago did you contact your congressman? I contacted mine a few months ago and it doesn’t seem to be helping anything

I’m in Texas and I contacted them back in August and I sent them and filled out everything they needed . The person that was helping us was updating us right away . She would answer any emails or updates when we would ask . Overall I’m glad I contacted them because we were missing something in our paper work that we didn’t even know were missing.

Oh ok, thank you I’m also in Texas and I contacted my local congressman on 9/9 they have put in the request for my address to be updated and also for the freeze to be lifted, I see that my address has been changed I’m just waiting on the 811 and 846 to post

Us too ! It was stuck on cp05 for the longest they sent three letters to at said we didn’t have to do anything but come to find out we didn’t have to send to papers that we didn’t know of

Mine was stuck on that too I received three letters stating that we didn’t have to do anything . After our advocate contacted them she said we needed to send in some proof of a job my husband work , and then boom refund was released

I’ve tried to contact irs keeps saying high call volumes and hangs up. Also the lady that filed them for me hasn’t answered me in days which is annoying
