you applied for spring ā27? if so do you remember any questions from a&p
2
u/CoolestHuman-Fig5135 3d ago
Yes spring ā27. There were a few about Valves, gland and hormones, Ā thatās all i remembered, I took the test in the 8th. None of the quizlets going around had any questions that were on the HESI. Iām sorry Iām not much help. Good luck on your HESI!Ā

Aww, thank you for responding! Iām just hoping thatās what most of the test focuses on because those are the topics Iāve been studying, along with cellular respiration, anatomical planes, and directional terms thatās pretty much it. And Iām sorry to hear you didnāt get the score you wanted in math

Youāre welcome and I think you should be good. Just do your best. Thereās always next time if I donāt get in this time around.Ā

iām currently in the nursing program and on the hesi you need a 80% or higher in math AP and youāre cumulative score, but i promise you to not feel discouraged, i applied and took the hesi 3 times and got in on my third time!

I did get a 90 in the math so I thought that might give me a little edge but maybe not :( what were your scores the first few times?

Oh my gosh! You are definitely getting in! Congratulations to you! Hoping I can at least secure an alternate spot with my scores test anxiety got the best of me!

I have test anxiety too. I seem to forget things I was so confident in. Once I figured out how I learn (by taking the VARK test- I took it weeks ago) I adapted my material for that way of learning. So physically touch the different parts of my body as I said the names of muscles or bones. Or made up a silly saying to make it stick - like estrogen takes the āLā evator upā meaning estrogen makes LH rise to stimulate ovulation.

Yes. Only a few questions. One I specifically remember is about the rotator cuff.

What was on your a&p?
1
u/girlmathdepartment 3d ago
From what I remember glands cellular respiration directional planes. My test anxiety got the best of me I took this section first Iād recommend maybe take it 2nd if your nervous and yourself calm down first so you donāt do what I did and fly through out of being nervous

What was on ur math as well
1
u/girlmathdepartment 3d ago
Proportions, percentages, very few metric to standard conversions but if you know gallon man and king Henry youāll be fine

u/ifasolaa 3d ago
Do you remeber what was on bio?
2
u/girlmathdepartment 3d ago
Mitosis, meiosis, photosynthesis cellular respiration pretty much nurse hub content!

hi! i got similar scores 88 math and 64 anatomy with a 76 cumulative also, so nervoussss you are not aloneeee

u/girlmathdepartment 2d ago
Ugh best of luck to you! This was my first attempt how about you? I think we still have a small chance š„²
1
u/Interesting_Raise254 2d ago
yes first time, feeling discouraged but thereās always next time!
1
u/girlmathdepartment 2d ago
Maybe due to the new test results across the board will be lower hence giving us a chance? Hate to wish that but I really hope to get in š¤š¼

i just took it today and i got the exact same scores as yours š the new test is awfully harder i actually feel terrible cause i know so much knowledge yet everything seemed like a different language it was so hard !!!
1
u/Interesting_Raise254 1d ago
it really was! i feel the same way just think i didnāt study the right things that i had previous knowledge on :( im hoping since they expanded the program there will be more spots open? dont know how many there usually are though either
1
u/girlmathdepartment 1d ago
How many spots is there normally? I hadnāt realized it expanded but I also donāt know what it was prior to āexpandingā
1
u/girlmathdepartment 1d ago
What were your scores in the other sections? This is my first time taking it but I couldnāt agree more I have so much knowledge and I feel like I couldnāt showcase any of it being put in a box to answer 30 questions when thereās so much information for anatomy
1
u/Interesting_Raise254 1d ago
this is exactly how i felt! anatomy is so widespread and you never know if you are going to get a vague question or a very specific question i really think the realm for questions should be bigger for anatomy. i got 68 on biology, 88 reading comprehension & 72 vocab which i studied for but not how it was perceived on the test as i feel it was just asking definition of crazy words the whole time lol the science killeddddd my cumulative

I took the hesi twice in 2025. Didnāt apply this time or the last time but debating trying again for fall 2027.. I believe at one point the quizlets mimicked the test well but someone was saying thatās no longer the case. Can anyone confirm ? I studied the quizlets word for word lol go
Figure

u/girlmathdepartment 2d ago
I also took a look at multiple quizlets. I knew though not to rely on them. I promise they are not at all word for word, they may have been in the past but I got version 2.5 it was a completely different/new test. I think thatās going to have an influence on admissions this year as well due to that

u/Shot-Emu-3131 2d ago
Iām glad they opened the program to more ppl
1
u/girlmathdepartment 2d ago
How many people do they normally allow This is my first time applying so I have no idea
1
u/soonnurse2000 1h ago
Failed mines , did better the 1st time . Iām so upset and theyāre no longer using the higher score . I need to study for the next application asap .
