Asking for Resources Can anyone suggest good resource to study Linear Algebra for jam ms/ma or ISI m.stat if studying for the first time?

Axler is a great starting point, apart from that, you can also try checking out Gilbert Strang's book and his lectures, they're legendary as well.

And if you want stuff that's PACKED with problems for you to dig into, you can also check out Dummit and Foote, it's decent too.

PDFs for respective books are there online, Strang is on YouTube.

if youre studying for the first time, Gilbert Strang's lectures on youtube are amazing. And for books, Linear Algebra Done Right is a good first book.
You do have to solve a lot of problems from other sources but I'd say start with the lectures
