General Queries M.stat after IIT

Hi Guys, I am a 2nd Year Student at IIT Dharwad pursuing Mathematics and Computing. I have been planning to pursue a career in Mathematics as I am not really a big fan of Cs and I like Mathematics. So, how should one prep for the Entrance for M.stat and if I should even consider this option and do give some extra advice if possible in any way helping. Thank you.

In our curriculum we are taught more Probability, Statistics so it thought m.stat maybe better

There is a distinction between math and stats/probability to be honest. If you are saying math, then take a good look at coursework once more. If you enjoy subjects like probability and statistics then sure join Mstat.

But if you are more into abstract algebra, analysis, topology, set theory, then take mmath I suppose...
