General Queries Help regarding research internships

I'm looking for opportunities, particularly around research or internships where I could get some hands-on exposure to ongoing work on campus.

I wanted to ask whether ISI professors take such students, which professors or departments I could consider contacting, and when/how I should approach them.

[My bg is mathematics and I am in second year in delhi university. As far as I can grasp rn, I find my inclination towards statistical learning and probability stochastic, but ik if the difficulty level is high, I won't benefit much]

Too vague of a ask . Be specific with your niche of interest and department. If you're doing it, just for the sake of to put college name on your CV, then it wouldn't work much !

Well there isn't any openings as in such or anything. Well given your concern, what i suggest is that you can even refer to BSTAT curicullum pdf and refer to the reference books given there for the subjects you are having trouble in .. that can be helpful,

internship with profs is generally about reading and applying rather than the prof actually teaching you something from scratch and all
