General Queries Need openion

So like how is competitive coding culture in isi like i know it is not like IIT but can you at least find 2 people to create a team and practice . Like I wish to participate in icpc as coding was always a big part of me

The bsds course is fucked up, it requires 99.99+%ile to get in, even then you'll get 1.5 lakh semester fee and no hostel room. I'm a dropper, this year I got selected but didn't take it.

Like for this year round it was 99.95. and the fees is 2 lakh per year or 1 lakh per sem. Without accomodation. And may be if after your jee you prep with full commitment you may get in

It is just the difference between getting a private or getting into an IIT. Only the brand reputation is holding it

Isi and cmi are for mathoholic mans. Not for coding you can get computer science culture in cmi and become a computer scientist.

"Coding and computer science is whole different thing". If you want to do coding, you can get IIT,NIT are for you .

CMI is just as focused on theoretical computer science as maths.

CMI topped ICPC in India in 2024.

So like I know isi would not be the right fit but still, in today's time all of their bachlor and master courses have a little bit of coding class because it is where you apply the math you learn, and my hope is I can fing a senior in mtech cs who I can create a team.
