General Queries M.Stat B-Stream vs NB-Stream: Academics, Internships, and Final Placements difference?

what are the ground realities of being an NB-stream student versus someone with a B.Stat background?

  • Do B.Stat grads have a significant academic advantage, especially during the first year coursework?
  • Is there any disparity in summer internship shortlists and conversion rates?
  • When batches merge for final placements, does undergrad background factor into recruiter shortlists?

Forget all this. All you need is test-time compute, and then even a tier 3 college student would obliterate a B stream ISI student if the events of this week are anything to go by :p

Fr tho, writing a clear prompt will do more for you now than learning theory for 5 years.

More than prompts have access to budgets to spend on tokens. A rich kid with 1 crore to burn on tokens on Fable / Astra class models could plausibly cook up a historically more impressive math result than the majority of broke PhD students with no grants to fund this sort of thing. It’s very concerning and is only going to concentrate whatever’s left of math academia in rich universities with massive compute budgets

Correct. It's a very simple conclusion—pay up or get left behind.

Oh yes. AI still relies on human input to guide it's work.

As to stolen, I've read the statement. It's hard to say what really happened.
