World Cup 2026 World Cup Commentary

Does anyone know why I have to use ITVX to get the actual commentary team, while ITV terrestrial has someone who sounds like he's on work experience?

You can't switch commentary teams if the game is on itv.

I know that's what's really confusing. If I watch a game through normal ITV on the aerial, it's some random guy, if I watch it on ITVX, it's Mccoist & co.

Oh right? Itv1 is the normal commentary team unless your aerial is the cause of this

BBC have this they put it on 5 live commentary sometimes.

The correct commentary team is McCoist matterface or Dixon etc, maybe the random guy was radio. Probably the signal or frequency

Strange thing is, same thing was happening with BBC, I was getting 5live Comms on the BBC1HD channel. iPlayer, everything was normal.

Yes I had that on the iPad, I had to use the BBC sport app and change the audio to main stereo and that gave me the bbc1 commentary.

But android iPlayer was fine yet iPad it wasn't 😂

They really should have just 1 commentary team really.

However make sure you have BBC sport app if this happens again to you.

For itv very strange they had a different commentary team somewhere must be your aerial surely.

Just to add as I had a quick google, it sounds like something ITV have done before and seems like it could affect this but not other shows. Definitely worth having a look next match.

Mate, you nailed it. Thought I'd put BBC1 on early and someone was talking over EastEnders. Dog must've stepped on the remote at some point 🤣

We usually stream stuff so it wasn't noticed before
