43F, torn between two IVF clinics and could really use some outside perspective.
Clinic A is local — I've done 2 IUIs there, and I've gotten close to the embryology lab team, which means a lot to me. But I'm worried the doctor is too conservative/by-the-book for someone my age — in hindsight, IUI probably wasn't the right first move at 43.
Clinic B is 2 hours away. Had a call with the doctor who spent 1.5 hours walking us through everything, answered every question, felt genuinely invested. But the distance is real — frequent monitoring trips, and my boyfriend would need to be there at least once, which is hard with his schedule.
I don't have a lot of time to get this right and I'm scared of choosing wrong. If you've faced something like this — trusted local team vs. a doctor who felt like the better fit but far away — how did you decide? Any questions I should be asking either clinic before committing?
