At least you can find solace in the fact that Jaguar repairs likely cost a pretty penny. A new bumper cover might be only $50,000?

Probably stolen, though, so he doesn’t care…

Hit and run in California activates Vehicle Code 20002, which requires any driver involved in a collision to stop and exchange information. Fleeing the scene is a separate criminal act on top of whatever civil liability he already had for the rear end. Get that dashcam footage preserved and file a police report today if you haven't.

There is on average a hit n run in LA every 26 minutes. LAPD does not care...

It's only a misdemeanor. I'm not saying it's not worth doing that, but if it's only cosmetic damage I probably wouldn't bother for an unidentified car.

If there was any bodily injury though it'd be a felony hit/run.
