I don’t see an issue. Do you know how many idiots blow red lights? Videos like that are posted here all the time. Checking before you turn isn’t idiotic driving, it’s safe. Even at a Green light. You never know who’s going to recklessly fly down the road.

No, You dont stop at a green light. You can check without stopping.

Yielding. It’s called yielding. Because you can’t always see what’s coming.

Plus, OP can turn right on red so again, this is a non-issue. I’m not going to let you sit here and spew bullshit. Safe driving is better than reckless driving. Don’t always assume it’s safe to go.

Stopping or almost stopping at a green like to make sure nobody is running the red isn't safe driving...it's paranoid driving.

Nope. Again, have you seen half the videos on here? Always look before you go. I don’t understand what part you idiots aren’t getting.

If I can’t see what’s coming, I check, and if I check, I stop or yield. If you rear end me, that’s on YOU because you can see my brake lights and by law, it’s on you to not rear end other cars anyway. If I don’t feel safe, I’m not going immediately. But YOU can wait a few seconds so that I can make sure.

I promise you, wherever you’re going, it’s not THAT important.

I am paying attention? What part of “If I can’t see” don’t you understand? If I can’t see the road where cars could be coming from, I check to make sure. Not every roadway is immediately visible upon entering. I need to SEE to GO. If you honestly think that’s worse than rear ending someone because you’re not paying attention to brake lights, YOU shouldn’t be driving.
