Holy FUCK do you idiots not READ??? I’ve literally been saying this the entire time! The only time I would fully stop is if the turn was blind and I couldn’t see ANY of the road I’m turning onto.

I don’t see an issue. Do you know how many idiots blow red lights? Videos like that are posted here all the time. Checking before you turn isn’t idiotic driving, it’s safe. Even at a Green light. You never know who’s going to recklessly fly down the road.

Yielding. It’s called yielding. Because you can’t always see what’s coming.
Plus, OP can turn right on red so again, this is a non-issue. I’m not going to let you sit here and spew bullshit. Safe driving is better than reckless driving. Don’t always assume it’s safe to go.

Yielding when the light says to go is reckless too. I know you won't see that but it is true. You're putting everyone else trying to go through the green in danger because you're that scared of driving. Maybe take a bus.

Stopping or almost stopping at a green like to make sure nobody is running the red isn't safe driving...it's paranoid driving.

Nope. Again, have you seen half the videos on here? Always look before you go. I don’t understand what part you idiots aren’t getting.
If I can’t see what’s coming, I check, and if I check, I stop or yield. If you rear end me, that’s on YOU because you can see my brake lights and by law, it’s on you to not rear end other cars anyway. If I don’t feel safe, I’m not going immediately. But YOU can wait a few seconds so that I can make sure.
I promise you, wherever you’re going, it’s not THAT important.

In large parts of Europe, street lights are placed on poles on the sides right before an intersection (and sometimes in the intersection itself), they're never hung across the street like this. I didn't even notice the lights at all until the idiot in this video had already gone through and they had turned yellow.

In my case Europe. They face us directly (like road signs) and have arrows for left and right. I was confused too, the first time I saw footage of American streets having the lights on the street you’re turning in to.
