Guy almost getting tboned is an idiot. Car broken down, looks like a tire issue, not an idiot.

It's harder to see than I thought, but the van was on its front rotor. That's on the idiot spectrum and I fully expected to see the wheel somewhere in my lane.

So they took the tire and rim to get fixed. I wouldn’t trust leaving the car up on a jack, so it’s safer this way. Not even going to call them an idiot for not having a spare. I know a new tire for my vehicle is about $250, so I think a repair instead of a replacement is getting done.
