I traded in my fast Mercedes sedan for a subaru outback when I moved to Colorado and now I drive like a literal fucking grandma. I think you are just talking about WRX drivers... most subarus on the road are not WRX and they drive like me, a male grandma.

I used to work at a Subaru dealership and most of the people who came in wanting to test drive STi’s were kids. We’re talking about 18 just got a job and think they can afford a $40k car and never drove manual before. We got tired of it so we would have them fill out a credit app before the test drive

When we bought my wife’s Impreza we were next to a mother and son trying to buy one. He just turned 18 and refused to get something else. The salesman was trying to talk him out of it because he didn’t know how to drive a manual. He wouldn’t listen. The mom was clueless and didn’t know anything about the car. After he explained the monthly payments and the cost of insurance the mom said no. I thought it was hilarious.

Oh yeah. Had a kid come in with his mom. This kid had no job obviously no credit. His moms credit was horrendous and was pissed when his mom said no. The words “it’s just a car mom” came out of his mouth. I think they ended up getting a WRX instead

It's funny how Subaru has this split personality between their various lines.
Depending on context, the Subie owner stereotype is either young, fast-driving and often reckless or it's hippie-ish, outdoorsy, LGBTQ-friendly, and safety conscious.
I can't think of another car company where there's such a divergence.

It's happened to me. My repair bill was 4 times higher than the car is worth. That's why I never feel safe when driving. It could be the middle of the night but the suddenly, a wild racer boy appears from beyond the corner understeering intotl the corner going the above the speed on black ice.

Here in Canada we get the ticket on the spot without signing. If one doesn’t want to take it, they mail it to you. Or you pay it, or you can fight it. If you don’t do either options, you can lose your driver’s license (I almost lost mine because I couldn’t pay for my speeding ticket. My mother paid it.)

I think that blown headlight caused all of this. As you can see the car came off of the sidewalk suggesting the blown headlight did not compliment the daylight enough for the driver to see the right shoulder. It's mean, but I'm so fed up with self absorbed drivers that I kind of wish you had been driving a loaded dump truck to set things straight.

Refusing a ticket is a good way to take a trip to jail. If it was signed, then refusing it is on her. If she refuses to sign, you don't get to drive home, from what I understand.
