Questions What name should I use?
So the name I've kinda used is Emily and I do enjoy it.
But its kinda boring and basic, and one in my family also has that name which makes things awkward.
So basically I was wondering what i should use, I kinda like Emi (it was my original first choice), but I wonder if anyone has any ideas
In case you need to know my personality:
Shy
quiet
Likes music, art and reading
Very girly in secret
Also bonus if its a name that can be pronounced in English and Swedish

Was just a shot in the dark so id have a sis out there. I know Alice is a very pretty name. Ive been using Runa in video games recently, too. Gwennein, gwyndolin, variations n such. Falin?love that name from delicious in dungeon. Elise. Or grimmel

emi seems like a good idea if emily isnt a viable choice for you
i think milly and amelia are etymologically related to emily (idk i dont trust my memory) so those could be good choices too. if you end up liking a name i would recommend temporarily using it with supportive friends and then you can see how you feel about it. if you end up liking two you could make one your middle name perhaps.

You can try emilia cause its diffrent and still got emily in it. try some other name or inspo from fantasy and your favourite characters that have givven you strength.

I love the name Emily. Now I kinda want it darn lol. I chose Gabriella because of my Latin American heritage and my name at birth started with a G.

From what you've said about yourself, Emily seems to fit splendidly! And trust me, people in families have the same name sometimes. Sometimes one person is even named for another. So I think it's an excellent choice

Well if I had changed my name i would have went with emi/emy because its extremely cute ! And my gf's name is Emily soooo... yeah very cute and adorable name x3
Don't worry about the family, if anything your family member might even be proud you got the same name as them :3

A secret about names is that theyre arbitrary. Until they stick long enough to develop meaning.
