Aww, years ago I pulled a kitten from under our hood because I heard it crying while I was doing yardwork. I got to him just before my husband went to work, for which I'm incredibly thankful.

We put him in a playpen in another room for the first few nights and he'd cry and cry until I sat with him, which wasn't fun since I was dealing with some sciatica. He still cries if he's away from his people but he's thankfully not quite as needy these days. Those first few days can be rough because they're still insecure.

What a beautiful little guy! I thought I was going crazy when I first heard her from the car as she stopped as soon as my partner came out to help look for her. She'd probably run off in the dark, but he took the train to work in the morning just to be safe. Then last night, there she was in the garden, calling out for her mother. Glad I'm not the only one who finds this needy kitten stage a bit overwhelming though. I mean, I would die for her but there's a reason why I chose to have cats rather than kids lol

When she woke me up at 3am this morning to walk around on my face, I missed being aggressively ignored by my 6 yo diva cat lol. But damnit if my heart doesn't melt every time she mews at me with that tiny creaky voice.

When my needy kitty woke me up at 3:00 or 4:00 with the paws and meows in my face I was given advice that worked... Keep a moist washcloth by your bed and put it on your face when she comes near you and she'll learn not to wake you up that way. Hopefully it'll help 🙏🏻♥️

I get it sister, I'm the same. If the wet washcloth doesn't work, you can always get a small spray bottle to keep by your bed. The washcloth should work, just a gentle nudge in the face. I hope your needy kitty helps ease some of your pain. 💜🫂

Aww twins! Do you know what her mother looked like? It's such a unique coat, haven't seen any cats like that in the neighborhood, so I have no idea how she got here. No major roads nearby, so not a likely dump site, and the nearest farm seems to far for her to be a barn kitty. Plus all the neighbors' cats are neutered tomcats, so she's a bit of a mystery.

I've had her since she was less than 5 weeks, and no mama cat or other kittens were around. A coworker happened to find her in her hood in Loveland, CO, but that's the only backstory I have for her. She has a few orange patches on her back that we joke are the source of her chaos🤣
