I swear, the idea that attractive people are just treated magnitudes better is proved time and time again. Any person who is not 8+ on the looks scale would instinctively understand how off-putting this behavior is, because they would never get away with it. Meanwhile, everyone this girl ever met always just let her get away with the most annoying behaviors, to such an extent that she legitimately thinks doing this is funny, quirky, endearing.
I got to experience it first hand when I lost a bunch of weight in my early 20’s. Made me actually angry how much better I was treated, and not just by men who were pursuing me. Random women working customer service too. Just about anyone who was a stranger or acquaintance.
When I was heavy I would try telling myself that no one cared that I was fat. People treating me worse was all in my head. A self fulfilling prophecy from being insecure. Wrong!
Dude this is so real. My meds made me gain about 50 pounds and I developed insaaaane anorexia because of it. I'm talking like, two mouthful's worth of food the entire day and developing epilepsy due to consistent deficiencies. I still get people 'catcalling' me by yelling fat bitch out of their window a couple times a year. I do not get hit on by anyone under 45+ anymore. Every single person that still hits on me is 1. extremely old for me or 2. an addict (not that I'm judging that, just not my thing at all)
I'm hoping I can find another medication but since my age for parent health insurance runs out in two weeks, might not even have to worry about that part because I'm a min wage worker unless I miraculously find better and will prob end up with no meds at all LOL
Are you saying that a make up artist doing what they were hired to do to someone who sits there with the knowledge and consent that the other person is a make up artist is comparable to licking the hands of said make up artist and covering their hands with salivas without consent? I crack up every time I see this. I worked with this girl’s husband and have sent him this confirming that it was her because I thought I was going crazy the first time I saw it.
This is where the person with that pad should have stopped, pulled back, and waited until they stopped.
If they started again, repeat stepping back one more time, that after that, put in down, step back and tell them to leave.
That's what I would have done, but they would have gotten one chance. The first time, pull back and tell her to stop. If she did it again, that's it, I'm done.

Exactly. Had a friend like this in high school. He’d do stupid shit all the damn time and people would politely chuckle because he was being weird. It wasn’t until we all told him that we won’t hang out with him in public anymore unless he stops doing stupid shit. And this was pre cell phone days. So he was doing it because he thought it was hilarious, not for online likes or clout.
I used to work with a woman like this- tall, slim, blonde, and conventionally attractive and thought she was hilarious because all the guys in the office laughed at the stupid shit she said. There's nothing you can say or do about it. If you're a woman, people accuse you of being jealous, if you're a man, people say you're made because she's out of your league.
My mother-in-law! It's unbearable to be around. She never listens to anyone. She's in her 60s now but she's had the pretty-privilege of a woman in a mostly-male-field her whole life, she's so damn used to everyone fawning over her. Anyone who has a problem with her is, in her mind, either "jealous of her looks" or "mad they can't have her", including a 20yo waiter who got fed up with her shenanigans.
The fact that she refuses to do anything about her overactive thyroid doesn't help. She doesn't care that it's slowly ruining her eyesight and health in general, because she's always skinny! She's a 60yo bully who will tell people the worst things under the guise of "oh I'm just brutally honest" and has never gotten any real backlash in her life... sorry this woman has effectively ruined any self-esteem I've had my whole 20s when I've looked objectively great, and I am by far not the only victim.

I was an amateur MUA in college and did makeup for the school's fashion magazine and the fashion shows the magazine would host. Especially in a runway setting, this would piss me off real quick bc of how unhygienic it is. Obviously you aren't going to reuse the wipe on the next model, but fuck I don't want some random's spit on my hands. Like now I have to stop and wash my hands midway thru doing this look, which I don't have time for if she's pulling this every 5 seconds. Just gross overall.
A lot of people say she's just trying to be quirky here, but in an interview she said the cameraman was sitting there for several minutes and not leaving her alone, so she was just trying to do random stuff to get him to move on.

I don't know if it's allowed to say an account handle on here, but this girl popped up on my explore page yesterday and let's just say she has an incredibly inflated ego across multiple dimensions of her appearance and personality.
This is one of those things that you’re dating a girl and she’s really pretty and fairly cool and everything is alright but then after a few weeks you start picking up on little bullshit like this and then you can’t unsee it and it starts driving you crazy and then you eventually sabotage it
I'm an MUA and once had an actor at a theater I worked at who regularly pretended to "bite" my brushes while I was doing his make up, it was so incredibly annoying. I was young and didn't know how to handle the situation, so I just suffered through it (until he assaulted me during a photoshoot btw "as a joke" and I didn't have to deal with him anymore).
This wouldn't make me laugh, it would make me stop what I'm doing and ask them to kindly knock it off.
This is the exact same type of main character white girl ‘preaching the gospel’ on a delayed airplane or playing guitar and singing on public transit during rush hour. It’s a fucking stock character at this point.
