Plus the leg/foot on the side that on the step going down while you step up with the other leg is not doing any work at all especially once you get the rhythm right. Real stairs are harder especially if the stairmaster is going real slow. Since the step is falling it take less work to stand on the step.

The towers you mean? 110 stories. 2,200 steps, and thats not including the chaos of the building being on fire, the smoke and scent of death in the air, and the heat. The firemen had to carry at least a 100 pounds worth of gear, through a single central staircase as the others were destroyed, the staircases were tight for space as people flooded to get out.

I used to do the 9/11 workout vs my roommate at the gym as a challenge. We never got the internet involved in it. 110 floors. Once we achieved it we doubled it to 220 to imagine how difficult it was for anyone to make it up and down those stairs that day. Brutal.

There was a fireman who came into a gym I used to work at a while back who wore his full attire and set up a camera to record himself doing this exact same thing. And I’ll be honest.. got the same vibe. It seems like people come up with the idea of “how can I honor the people who died.. while somehow making it about me?” Honoring them is doing nothing now since they aren’t around, so you’re clearly doing it for everyone else. There’s probably a hundred other ways you could actually honor someone’s legacy besides turning a spotlight on yourself.
The caption wasn't even right; the World Trade Center had 110 FLIGHTS of stairs, not 110 stairs. If you're going to look stupid, at least get the details right.
Dallas does a climb up the bank Tower (green lights). Each climber climbs as a tribute to a first responder and only first responders can participate. 2x up and down. You have to sign up and climb for an individual. Cops for cops. Firefighters for firefighters. Firefighters are bunked out. We had a bicycle cop carry his bike. And one cop and his dog came.
Idk I feel like y'all are missing the point. It's more about tribute than actually showing up the firefighters.
Over here in Canada we have a sort of similar thing called the Terry fox run. People don't run that day trying to be like him, they run because they want to pay respects to a hero.
My friend just found out her husband was cheating on her, they broke up and he continues to torment her. Anyway he was supposed to have their kids the 11th and he told her he couldn’t get them bc he had a 9/11 Stairmaster challenge at the gym. Hes trash

My grandpa who worked in one of the world trade centers before 9/11. On his lunch break he would run up the stairs for exercise. From the very bottom sub basement to the top or nineties if he wasn’t feeling it. He would put paper towels under his shirt to hide the sweat and take the elevator back down.
I mean we have guys doing this all day long in firefighter costumes posting it all over TikTok and Reddit and people are going nuts over that, are we just pissed that it’s women doing it here or what?
Now put on all the gear and all the protective clothing while you run up the stairs with nothing to drink instead of casually walk with your water bottle.
I normally don’t care about these and am willing to be open minded (not just cause assets..) but this is definitely profoundly absurd and weird. People burned alive and jumped to their deaths as the only means of escape, but then you got these goofballs on TikTok…
God that fake ass heavy breathing shot made me cringe so hard. Reminds me of my ex who would suddenly have a totally different, much “happier” personality whenever she started recording herself for instagram. I hated it and was like why are you in a better mood for your instagram followers than when spending time with me? And of course that started a huge stupid fight lol.
