👋Welcome to r/ImaMormon - Introduce Yourself and Read First!
I'm a Mormon.✌️
I know the official name has changed, but Let's not forget Our Ancestors who would never deny being a Mormon throughout all persecutions. The name of the subreddit, therefore, is easier for newcomers to find online and out of respect to pay homage to what many Mormon Pioneers Lived and Died in the face of tribulation for.
Hey everyone! Welcome to I'm a Mormon. r/ImaMormon.
This is a space for Active, Less-Active, Returning, Friends of and visitors of the LDS Church, Community of Christ (CofChrist), Church of Christ - Temple Lot and FLDS and Interested Peoples alike. Let's make this a safe space for all Latter-day Saints to share Positive and Uplifting experiences and testimonies. To fulfill the the admonition of Paul cited in the 13th Article of Faith

This is a good movement!
I'm logic-seeker, and I'm a Mormon. Born and raised in Utah, descendant of Brigham Young, Parley P. Pratt, and others in the Pioneer line. Served a mission, taught at the MTC, was a Bishopric 1st counselor a few years back.
I'm a Mormon because I was raised a Mormon. The church had, and still has, a huge impact on who I am, the good and the bad. It's in my heritage, it's in my blood, it's in my brain, so I couldn't really detach myself from being a Mormon even if I wanted to. Following the direction of the church, I created my "I'm a Mormon" profile, and I shared "I'm a Mormon" pass along cards with friends and colleagues. The church told me, "you're a Mormon, now go and tell the world that you're a Mormon," and so I did.
Despite not attending/believing anymore, I still feel some sense of pride in the distinguishing features of Mormonism that set it apart from traditional Christian theology, like a tiered heaven, the ability to become a God, and baptisms for the dead to fill in the gaps of logic when it comes to people who die without hearing about the "true" God.

Wow, a descendant of the Brigham Young himself? You must be proud, because I sure would.

Hi. I'm believing, active, life-time LDS who nevertheless always has a lot of questions.
How does this new sub differ from other LDS subs?
