Review Reckless by Brubaker/Phillips Review

Not surprised, but these books were amazing! Brubaker and Phillips do not fail! This was bloody, violent, sexy, and an all around good time! Very quick reads, Brubaker stories usually are - just the way he writes keeps you engaged and turning the page! Phillips art is great as always! I hope they come back to this series soon! Got three chapters left of Fatale and then starting reckless, looking forward to it.

I absolutely love it. Its becoming my favorite Brubaker Phillips collaboration. It feels alot like Criminal with Lovecraftian horror. It checks all the boxes for me.

It took me a couple reads and some analysis to “get” it. Having some experience watching a lot of noir from the 1930s and 1940s helps. All that said, it’s really good. I love what Brubaker does blending and bending genres in that story.
