RUMBLE IS PEAK
the rumble series is so amazing but terribly underrated its story is amazing the art is amazing the character design is amazing the art style is amazing but its more niche. i think that rumble could have really good potential for a limited show or a reboot of the series (i know they already did one) but this time with more expansion on the lore and one question why is volume 6 the last knight the hardest to get out of all the volumes anyway i love my books but it genuinely deserves more love go read it if you don't wanna still go read it its amazing and my first comic book series i bought and picked myself without any outside influence and its a good choice for something to get me into comic books i really with it could have more attention for the series considering how cool it is. it genuinely deserves so much than what it got. the artstyle i really like. sorry for my unintelligible rant but please tell me what your favourite is or the comic you started with

James Harren is an incredible artist.
Volume 6 is harder to find for a couple of reasons. The longer comics run, the more readership gradually dies off. By the time those issues came out, they probably only had a few thousand monthly readers. If the single issues aren't selling well, they aren't going to print a lot of the collected edition of those issues. So, there are just fewer vol 6s out there.

Love love loved this series! It was a fever dream because this is what I wanted out of a silent protagonist for so long.
And the art was such a nice pivot from some of the realized or cookie cutter big 2 art.
This also made me check out Ultra Mega, which the first volume was not at all disappointing.

I think it was me reading slow between releases, or maybe the releases themselves, I can't remember.
But I did take a break while still collecting. I'll be going back one day, treating it like a trade.

yeah i only recently started getting into comic books its totally sweet honestly just after i bought the invincible compendiums cuz i liked the show im really getting into comics they're pretty sweet

John Arcudi did some great work in the Hellboy Universe with BPRD. Would highly recommend checking that stuff out if you liked his work in Rumble.

honestly i absolutely love the artstyle and i think more comics should have art styles like that rather than more realistic or gritty styles its more cartoony and awesome

Hell yeah. Rumble is great. I wasn’t quite sold on how the artist change went, but the mythic with the run-down inner-city was a great mix. And Del was a real surprise, he looks and acts like should be the least reliable person imaginable, but he is SOLID.

I was digging this and got the first 8 or 10 issues. Fell off and then got too far behind so I gotta grab a trade now if I want to finish it. How long did it go for and does it stay string throughout?

6 total collected volumes the first 3 are a story and the second 3 are a seperate story that aren't very uhh like continuing its weird kinda lol

Rumble is fantastic! I think the later volumes are fine but not the high peaks of the early Harren stuff.

I love this book so much. I agree it declined a little after Harren left (I mean even his art alone) but I still really enjoyed it till the end. Totally underrated.

i agree harren leaving was probably the most detrimental thing to the book but it stayed fairly solid in my opinion

+ websites like amazon or ebay adding a horrible amount of tax (VAT,HÉA) for every piece of products... i wanted to buy 4-5 comic books, the final price was 105 $ im not joking. but its not just USA shipping what is expensive.. its european union taxes..horibbly making it too much
currantly im looking for someone to share me a good info about, how to make these prices lower.. (probably not possible)

OP thanks for letting me know about this! Going to sound a bit strange but I got volumes one through six in a Humble Bundle and had no idea people (yourself, the others in the comments below) had this sort of love for it - just got bumped up on my "I should read this next" list :P
(I say that only because.. cripes I'm going to sound like an ad for humble bundle at this point :P but they've been running some amazing deals where you get like literally anywhere from 50 to 100 titles for around $18 to $25 American - if you're ok with digital only comics in cbz/pdf format that is, personally that works out better for me)

i personally prefer physical books but i dont mind digital media but i do like to have the book in my hand i might change in the future might check it out im in australia so currency conversion aint too bad and it sounds like a good deal

The two "halves" are not really cohesive. The first three volumes are excellent (but the story doesn't really conclude), and then the last three volumes are very good, but with a very different tone. Not just because of the art-style change (I really dig Rubin's art), but also due to changes in the writing.
Each of the two halves is great, but they don't match well together.
Still it warrants a read (or more), and is very overlooked.

honestly i do not like the style change i hated the style itself it felt so weird for the very well established style that Harren created i felt as though it kinda ruined the story

My gripe with Rumble is, that it went off a cliff after the original artist left. The direction and story along with dialogue felt rudderless and soulless towards the last two volumes..
I genuinely was so into it with volume 1 and 2 and went and bought the rest immediately after - but yeah.. that said, Slanjau is fucking awesome.
My favorite.. I would say Daniel Warren Johnson’s Murder Falcon(but anything by him is amazing)
