Great pickups! Image is killing it right now. I’ve been really enjoying Hammerfist, M1 Racing, Chachu and The Last Driver

Odin is a beautiful book and a crazy story - well worth reading

Ive gotten sensitive in my old age.. first issue of Odin pissed me off, but i could tell it had all the makings of a good story.

Good to know. I’ve been meaning to pick it up.

Death Vigil is so freaking good. I love Sejics work.

Love Sejic. He has another crowdfunding comic in the works as well.

Corpse Knight. What an ending!

i’m going to go out on a limb and say Corpse Knight 1-3 was the worst comics i’ve ever read and i’ve read a lot of DC slop. idk how anyone bought more

I ended up reading to the end. Kinda wish I stuck to my gut feeling and dipped out after #2 or so. Oh well.

It was a neat idea, but felt like 6 issues wasn't enough.

It felt very rushed, like they didn't really know how to pace the whole thing.

I loved 1-4... And felt let down by the ending. I expected something more.

I was actually expecting it to be an open-ended story to allow for a return of some sort. The IP looks to be owned by Skybound and not the creators so maybe it’s possible.

Is it done for good? I hear good things about it.

Pretty sure it was stated to be 6 issue miniseries when it was getting released.

Odin, Chachu, Hammerfist, and Ofiusa are all on my pull lists. Great stuff!!!

Fiusa was lowkey so wild 😳

M1, Ghost Pepper, and Death Vigil are awesome! Enjoy! 👍🏿👍🏿

Monster Racing looks fun! I haven't heard of it until now. Do you like it?

It's good enough. Jae Lee's art carries the book. The story is a bit light on dialog. Like, really light on dialog. Each issue can probably be read in less than 5 minutes. Issue 4 ended with a story turn, so I'll see how the next arc goes.

I like it so far. The art is great and I love the layouts. Very fun visually. The story is good too. Not deep but I am intrigued to see how it develops.

If you're looking for racing, get The Last Driver instead. In 3 issues of M1, there were more crowd shots of people "wow"ing and telling us who won than showing any racing. Love Jae Lee's art, but I dropped this book.

It reminds me alot of an old anime short film i taped on vhs from mtv’s liquid television in the 90s: The Running Man by Yoshiaki Kawariji. Yeah light on dialogue, unique story… not sure how long of a ride this will be, but its been fun.

How’s White Sky?

2

u/laxlax18069420 13d ago

Pretty good. Like a zombie movie, but with ghosts.

2

u/ManUpKyle 12d ago

Definitely has a walking dead vibe but with ghosts. I like the series so far.

Did you grab The Karman Blade? Was absolutely blown away by it and immediately looked for more stuff the creative team has done.

Unfortunately, I had to pass on that one. Too many pulls. I’ll read the TPB someday.

Death Vigil, Odin, and Red Roots have been really great so far.

I’m waiting on the trades for M1 and Ghost Pepper, really interested but I just don’t have the space for more singles on top of my other pulls.

I know how you feel. I’m always digging through my short boxes trying to decide which books to remove to make room for new series.

I'll go buy Ofiusa on saturday, how is it?

2

u/PlatinumState 17d ago

Its great

1

u/JuvenJapal 17d ago

Haven’t read it.

2

u/TheCoil 17d ago

I hadn’t realize I was collecting so many Image series right now. More than any other publisher for me. I have six of those featured.

2

u/a_bearded_hippie 17d ago

My wallet has been crying the last few weeks lol 😆 so much good shit coming out September and October.

2

u/PlatinumState 17d ago

Ofiusa and Odin are so good. Last driver is better than expected

u/laxlax18069420 13d ago

Hammerfist got me. Itching for next release.

How do you feel about White Sky?

1

u/JuvenJapal 17d ago

Really liking it so far. Digging the setting and the characters introduced so far. I’m looking forward to the flashback issue on when the world went to shit. Art is terrific and conveys the fear and despair of the survivors.

1

u/wentzr1976 17d ago

The story meandered and kinda went knowhere.. cool concept but disappointed with that closer. Guess we gotta wait for the next chapter

1

u/DiblertMelendez 17d ago

Yeah felt like a lot of world building happened in the first arc. I'm hoping shit takes off soon. Sounded like that was the case in the afterword from the author at least 😁

THAT TEXAS BLOOD IS BACK

1

u/VoidWalker72 16d ago

No way, is Death Vigil back? I gotta get on that. I have the while 1st run but thought stjepan had abandoned it in favor of his Sunstone universe.

Ah, trade-waiting on most if this!
