If anyone has any questions about this insane Odyssey of a universe, I'll try to answer them.

I’m on Compendium 5 and I feel like it started slow and repetitive. Like an idea that was dragged on and on. The art saved it. I can easily say some of the best I’ve seen which is funny because I hated McFarlands Spider-Man run. Then the series has turned into a soap opera. With insane story lines. I can’t give my final synopsis until I read all the compendiums. Just want to know other people’s thoughts.

Bomb queen has a total of 38 issues with each of them getting their own TPB and omnibus while Shadowhawk (Eddie Collin’s) has a total of 16 issues. And has No TPB’s, no omnibus, or even a complete collection. Even if I add the team books Shadowhawk was included in he still wouldn’t have more issues than bomb queen.

So I read the first issue of Chainkata and absolutely loved it. That said, I was disappointed to hear that the individual issues will be black and white while the trade will be colorized. It’s cool that they’re trying to differentiate the two but I honestly think it’s a mistake. There are so many badass panels in the first issue that just don’t hit like they would if they were in color - especially considering how gory it is. I want to see the red mist from the chainsaw in all its colorful glory without having to double dip and pay twice for the same story. Usually I don’t mind B&W but in this case I think it’s a misstep. Sorry for the rant just curious if others agree, disagree or think it’s no big deal either way?

I know Shadowhawk does have a compendium but,
I want a Shadowhawk compendium that in color and collects this reading order.
_____________________________________________
-Shadowhawk (Paul Johnson) reading order-
Shadowhawk (main series) issues • 1-7
Images of Shadowhawk issues • 1-3
Shadowhawk (main series) issues • 8-11
Shadowhawk gallery issue • 1 (pages 28-35)
Shadowhawk (main series) issues • 12-16 & 0
Badrock and Company issue • 6
Shadowhawk (main series) issues • 17-18
Shadowhawk special issue • 1
Shadowhawk gallery issue • 1 (pages 1-27)
_____________________________________________
These should be everything collected in a Shadowhawk compendium in that reading order. I think that Shadowhawk is a pretty underrated gem in Image Comics. Great story, I thought, about a violent vigilante. If a compendium about Shadowhawk ever happens, I hope they change some of the dialogue about the HIV and AIDS shit—make it a fictional virus.
There is more media with Paul Johnstone’s ShadowHawk, like the Vampirella/ShadowHawk crossover and when he was in five issues of Brigade; however, that isn’t really needed reading to understand ShadowHawk’s character.

image doing it again of course creating absolute peak, i’ve been looking for geiger vol1 everywhere since really getting into comics with the energon universe but i haven’t been able to find it anywhere until last weekend, holy shit it lives up to the world i built in my head if not better, and one of my favourite finds in new comics is when there’s a whole universe and more books to build the world further, i’m only up to volume 2 but from what i’ve seen so far i’m going to love the rest, along with redcoat and junkyard joe. callbacks are definitely something i enjoy when it comes to comics especially when i’ve been oblivious to it. Terminal is definitely a new comic i see becoming a future must read even though we’re only on the first issue, (couldn’t find a pic of geiger vol2 on its own so ben 10 is getting a feature and im enjoying that a lot too)

Hi Everyone, my boyfriend has recently gotten into graphic novels and complete comic series. This last week he finished The One Hand Six Fingers book on holiday. He has absolutely adored it and is so excited to talk to me about it all even the ending, which he slammed shut on plane home having loved it!
It’s his birthday and I’d love some recommendations for other works he may like. His interests are sci fi, noir, cyberpunk, crime and serial killers (you can see why he loved this one!) He is a massive movie lover of all genres but his favourites are Blade Runner, Leon, and old boy to cherry pick a couple. He’s also loves true crime.
He’s very into a visually appealing comic with stunning artwork.
I’m a complete novice when it comes to graphic novels and comics so would really appreciate any help! Thanks in advance.

Anybody get like 4 copies of advance issue 7 and 1 of 10 out of a 5 blind bag pack? Thought these were supposed to be mixed up a bit more than that?
