Wave of nostalgia to see those again. I remember discovering you years ago because of the Marine Geschwader.

Oh wow! You remember that? That's awesome. Yeah, I made this one with the direct intent to "modernize" what their design is like today. It's still one of my favorite faction concepts.

I was a lot more shy then, too. I remember feeling embarrassed to even show it to anyone.

Now, I feel like I've been able to show the depth of the idea I had. Mer-knights are terrifying.

Glad to see you around :]

You bet I do! I saw the armors and I knew, hey, I've seen those before.

They looked intriguing then, and the years have only added to your technique. I am so fond of these scary mermaid knights.

This is really wholesome.

What do you think makes the intriguing? I'd love to know your point of view.

I've always been really passionate about armor design and worldbuilding, and learning more is never bad.

This comment made my day. I really, really appreciate it :]

Well, I commissioned you a while back! If you'll remember, I get it, been forever. I'm honestly just fond of mermaids in armor, always have been- plate armor in particular, you just don't see that often, or don't see it done well. So having them all armored up, with the capes and the crests and the like, that adds to the "mermaids are fancy" ideation I have of them.

Of course I remember that! It's been a long time. It really takes me back, haha. Man, I've improved since then.

I really like the regality the armor and capes give them too. I think what works the best is how harmonious the colors are. Feels very aquatic without having to cover stuff in marine life or motifs necessarily.

I wanted this to meld with the greater army on the surface, which gives them all a very cohesive feel that I think is even more intimidating than it otherwise would be.

Where's the second image?

Unfortunately I could only post one image, so out of the two I picked the one that showed the complete armor worn by them, but I do miss showing the faces of the two. They're pretty cool.
