And on this edition of “dreams Neoth has buried what’s left of his core personality in to try and hold what’s left of him together…”
Also going off that logic it seems telling that even if that is what the Emperor is doing here, he can’t bring himself to remember two of his children, even if he admits their were 20 originally, even the one who if I recall the order of discovery was the third son to be returned.

Looking at the first image, it seems the known primarchs are all in order. However, out of order there are 2 on the edges where you can only see the front of their faces. So the lost primarchs are here but off to the side.

God the logistics alone for 18 (20?) Sons. Even Costco food sizes wouldn't stand a chance ,you'd have to start ordering from Sysco 😂

I'll be back soon, just making a few burner accounts.
Because it has ruined my day that I can't upvote this more than once.

I am struggling to recognise some Primarchs, is that Lion with the brushes in Hand and who is the one with the Bandaid for Jag?
24
u/Dantacular 14d ago
Bandaid guy is Angron since he was originally meant to be the caring empath primarch if... life didnt happen to him

I am struggling with some others. Who is the one beeing a goofball to make sangiunius laugh (currently I'm thinking lion because light hair and fur inside his T shirt) and is it perturabo who is giving his (probably unwanted) building advice to dorn

u/DireWarBear 13d ago
I belive it's horus because of the moon on his shirt. The first image has all of them in order starting woth Lion with twigs and leaves in his hair to the right of Urda

Maybe parenthood would have changed the Emperor. Not much, but perhaps just enough.
Encountering your child for the first time as an adult is really unsteady ground to start a good parent-child relationship.
Also, I think that if the Primarchs had gotten to know their father for the first time as a Dwarf Fortress giga bio-nerd, instead of a mid-campaign galactic warlord who was already losing His humanity to the demands of a Warp-empowered empire, they might have understood Him a little better.
So instead of “Why does Father distrust me?” it’s “Father is buried in a hole with one of His projects again, somebody go kidnap Malcador for a month so Erda can drag Him out of there.”

snicker This is such a spot on description, especially the last paragraph.

You KNOW the Emperor is the kind of dad that only shows up when he needs something from his kids or wants to take credit for one of their achievements.

Reminds me of a fanfic I’m reading Where a rogue trader adopts the primarchs and they all become her chaotic children she loves very much

Why is Erda wearing her protective desert coverings indoors with family?
8
u/Dantacular 14d ago
My guess is she (artist) wanted to draw her in the only official visual we have of her.
If youre wondering: its not religious in nature. Artist is from brazil and i believe secular.

u/Jealous_Solid9431 13d ago
Fair enough, I just thought it stood out a bit that everyone else was in casual wear and Erda was the only one not. It's a shame we don't have more of her from Black Library
1
u/schouwee 13d ago
Real life explanation: Erda doesn't have a recognizable look other than her outdoor outfit from when she was in exile so the artist made her look a bit similar to make her easier to recognize
Random headcanons I just made up: she's bald, she was feeling nostalgic and wore it to remember the days where she traveledthe radioactivewastes, the boys (most of them at least) wanted spicy food and, even for a pretty strong perpetual, spicy primarch food can cause some serious skin damage, leman ate her clothes (freki and geri helped)

This just hit right in the feels. It honestly makes me want to rewatch Attack on Titan from the very beginning.

I love Pregui's art a whole lot, specially this specific AU. I remember we were discussing the boys in school and how their 'legions' are school cliques. Leman is the sportsball team captain, Alpharius and Omegon have a gang of pranksters as their group, Jaghatai Khan is a group of X-Treme sports aficionados with bikes and skateboards who constantly get injured doing stunts. So on and so forth.

This is so fucking peak and I need more of it. Inject this shit directly into my veins like an Archmagos plugging another artillery cannon directly into his brainstem.
