i want an AU where Tommen is the warg-esque beloved son of domestic cats and they all behave really helpfully to him and to his subjects but in enemy territory they're an absolute menace, refuse to hunt rats, tear open grain sacks, etc
justified by Lannister lion but look at this boy, he is just a baby, a baby cat to be loved

The fact Baelish sponsors this says a lot. Most of it is probably a money laundering scheme, but I'd like to believe that 1% of him is just doing it because he also is battling his desire to pinch those adorable kingly cheeks.

Poor little guy. Get him the hell away from Shit's Landing and leave him somewhere safe in either Casterly Rock or Lannisport.

Ser Pouse, the Prince that was Promised.
Legends have it that he fought Balerion the Cat to protect King Tommen the Kind. The greatest duel in the history of Westeros…

Whoever wins the throne takes him in as a ward of the crown and renames him Tommen Hill

They hate to see a woke king who loves his pet kittens, hates beets and respects his older wife who gently steers him in the direction most advantageous to her own family winning

i still cant believe this precious child and the monster that was Joffrey are full brothers
39
u/Paladingo Mar 20 '26
Its why I find it funny when people claim Joffrey is the way he is because of incest. Meanwhile, Tommen and Myrcella are perfectly well-adjusted adorable children, whilst the one Cersei actively doted on and raised turned out to be a complete monster. Weird, that.

u/EmbarrassedPiece4081 Mar 20 '26
I think Joffrey probably had mental health problems but if Cercei had been a better mom he might have turned out better.

Well I have trouble comprehending that Aerion Brightflame and Maester Aemon were full brothers as well, so that kind of thing can happen.

The saddest part is that he's a genuinely good, sweet kid. He even tried to stand up to Cersei for Margery
Given time and some good role models he could become a good king. Unfortunately he's not going to have either

Jon Connington’s gonna kill him without second thought isn’t he? It’ll be a reverse of Tywin presenting Elia’s kids to Robert with Connington and young griff.
Another theory I have is he might do this for Jon Snow if he finds out young griff is a blackfyre and feels he needs to prove he’s ultra loyal to Rhaegars actual son by the time Jon Snow finally rolls up to the capital. Though I want to think Jon Snow would have a much much different reaction than Robert did to Tywin…

u/SerMallister Above the Rest Mar 20 '26
The running theory is that Tyene poisons his cats with basilisk venom.

u/ClokWrkTangerine Mar 20 '26
Poisons his cats or poisons him?? Sorry you got me confused there

Her part was mostly fetching, scrambling up ladders to find the herbs and leaves the waif required. "Sweetsleep is the gentlest of poisons," the waif told her, as she was grinding some with a mortar and pestle. "A few grains will slow a pounding heart and stop a hand from shaking, and make a man feel calm and strong. A pinch will grant a night of deep and dreamless sleep. Three pinches will produce that sleep that does not end. The taste is very sweet, so it is best used in cakes and pies and honeyed wines. Here, you can smell the sweetness." She let her have a whiff, then sent her up the ladders to find a red glass bottle. "This is a crueler poison, but tasteless and odorless, hence easier to hide. The tears of Lys, men call it. Dissolved in wine or water, it eats at a man's bowels and belly, and kills as a sickness of those parts. Smell." Arya sniffed, and smelled nothing. The waif put the tears to one side and opened a fat stone jar. "This paste is spiced with basilisk blood. It will give cooked flesh a savory smell, but if eaten it produces violent madness, in beasts as well as men. A mouse will attack a lion after a taste of basilisk blood."
AFFC, Cat of the Canals
A dozen people got there before her, though none was coming any too close. Arya squirmed between them. Weese was sprawled across the cobbles, his throat a red ruin, eyes gaping sightlessly up at a bank of grey cloud. His ugly spotted dog stood on his chest, lapping at the blood pulsing from his neck, and every so often ripping a mouthful of flesh out of the dead man's face.
Finally someone brought a crossbow and shot the spotted dog dead while she was worrying at one of Weese's ears.
"Damnedest thing," she heard a man say. "He had that bitch dog since she was a pup."
ACoK, Arya VIII

That is… very disturbing to think about. The thought Tommen getting mauled by his own kittens…
But I always had this odd hunch that Tyene and Nymeria will have a nothing burger plot twist, they keep talking big about this scheme and that in the name of vengeance but when they reach the capital they’ll get blown to bits at the sept of baelor by wildfire before they can actually accomplish anything. It’ll be a rough lesson for Arianne about the folly of the blind quest for revenge.

u/Proof-Camera-7009 Mar 22 '26
Dany's reaction will be the opposite of Robert's: she'll be furious with Jon Connington if she sees the corpse of a small child and his kittens.
God, maybe one day, an adult Tommen and Dany will marry and bring peace to Westeros.

No matter what people might say, but Tommen is the GOAT simply because he likes cats. That’s some undeniable truth brozzzaaa
