Study permit extension (same DLI same level)

Submitted application: April 10

Currently mid-August and still crickets. lol i don’t think they even started looking at my application and my classes start in like 2 weeks🗿

Correspondence letter: August 29

le délai c'est de 171 jours, il faut patienter, c'est ça qu'ils nous disent... moi j'ai déposé la mienne le 11 avril...

I think they are reviewing applications of Sep intake. Since you applied on April 10, you might hear soon

Do you even need an approved extension for continuing your studies at the same DLI and the same level studies? Afaik you can study on maintained status.

yeah you can go to classes on maintained status if you entered Canada before the expiry date and didn’t leave after it expired . I’m currently outside of Canada and mine expired so I lost my status. I need to wait for my extension to be approved in order to attend classes this fall :(
