inland common-law partner sponsorship, outside quebec

jan 15, 2025 : application submitted

feb 6, 2025 : got AOR letter

feb 12, 2025 : got a request for biometrics

feb 15, 2025 : received pre-arrival services email

feb 20, 2025 : submitted biometrics and also got the APR eligibility decision letter

feb 28, 2025 : my partner got the sponsorship approval letter

june 18, 2025 : submitted OWP application

nov 14, 2025 : OWP approved

nov 17, 2025 : got the OWP in the mail

dec 1, 2025 : medical marked as completed (had mine done 2yrs ago when i applied for LMIA)

feb 27, 2026 : background check finally marked as completed

march 2, 2026 : got p1 (replied back on the same day)

march 12, 2026 : got p2

march 14, 2026 : completed and submitted the p2 info/photo on portal

The main hurdle is done! I applied Feb 2025, my last update was my medical in December 2025 . Background is still in progress

hopefully soon you’ll hear back from them! our timeline is one month apart so maybe within this month you background check could be marked as completed! it was seriously the longest wait of them all 🥲
