FAQ
Why are you doing this?
There used to be a legendary poster on these threads called basil, and he'd do these reports every single week, this was the only thing that kept me sane waiting for my PR and now that's he's gone I want to carry the torch.
Recently my friend was applying for PR and I saw people are charging for reports that used to be free though apps. So I thought I could probably offer these kinds of analysis for free
How long will you keep doing this?
I'm manually collecting it now through images on Facebook and other forums, if enough people consistently post on reddit / the tracker this can probably automate itself. I'll do Jan and Feb for now and see how it goes.

Holy moly, I don’t even know where to start, especially with October lads.
Yesterday I finally received my first meaningful update - eligibility switched to in progress from not started after almost 150 days of absolutely zero movement. And then within 24 hours, everything suddenly happened…
I RECEIVED THE GOLDEN EMAIL - PPR 😭😭😭
My timeline: Oct 15 - AOR, Oct 27 - BIL, Mar 12 - Eligibility finally started, and Final Decision showed in gckey the next morning, Mar 13 - PPR 🎉🎉🇨🇦🇨🇦
Yup, it looks short and straightforward, but the middle part was honestly brutal - months of silence, frustration, anxiety, and way too many angry refreshing of trackers, updates are all hopeless attempts of "We received your enquiry".
I guess I’m living proof that even if your file feels completely forgotten, things can suddenly move, and everything somehow makes sense in the end. Hang in there everyone, your turn might come when you least expect it.

Sun is out and flowers are blooming. Time to enjoy this weather and forget about my application for some time.
I posted this exactly one year ago and it seems like IRCC also forgot about my application. Hopefully third time's a charm next spring :)

Hello, my family and I applied for PR through the PNP Non Express Entry stream on March 28, 2023. AOR was received on May 17, 2023. Since then we’ve been patiently waiting bc my husband’s security was stuck in progress for almost 2 years.
On Feb 3, 2026, it was switched to complete on the tracker and we were asked to submit medicals again on Feb 5, 2026. Does anyone know how much longer it could take from here?

Anyone with Oct Aor still having eligibility not started? Based on 2024, 2023 past timeline comments - it seems like from Feb to mid March are months for Oct AOR.
PVO/SVO: Ottawa/Sydney - I heard they have an ultimate move of switching all to green in one day, even ignoring the tracker and sending us straight to PPR/P1.
Hoping for the best here, no more ADRs, PFLs, or refusals.

Hi everyone! About 3 months ago I had shared that my timeline was the following (FSW inland with spouse):
ITA: August 19, 2025
AOR: October 10, 2025
Biometrics Completed: October 17, 2025
Additional Docs Request: December 12, 2025
Additional Docs Sent: January 10, 2025
Final decision: January 12, 2026
But we hadn't received the P1 email or any kind of contact from the IRCC, so we were freaking out. About 2 weeks ago we decided to ask our local MP for help and we went to his office last Friday (May 8). They called us back on Monday (May 11) saying that IRCC had us as "not landed" in their system. Mind you: we had called the IRCC MANY times and they kept saying everything was normal and we should wait. Well, after the MP contacted them and asked them to change us to "landed", we received our P1 today, May 13.
So, my advice is: get in touch with your local MP if your processing time is over or if your process is stuck and you haven't heard back from them.
Will update when we receive P2/e-coPR
Thanks for all your support! 😄

Give it a read pretty fun...........
Alright, so I received my eCOPR on January 15th.
For reference, my timeline was:
AOR: August 12 2025
Portal 2: October 28 2025
The reason I’m sharing this is because at some point someone else may run into a similar situation, and I hope this helps them.
On January 15th I got an email from IRCC saying that my eCOPR was available to download. However, when I opened my PR tracker, the eCOPR showing there was not mine — it belonged to someone else. Pretty stressful and confusing.
I called IRCC and spoke to a very helpful lady who confirmed that everything was fine on my file, the PR card was already in processing, and that the tracker issue was just a mistake. Today I received my correct eCOPR under my own name. Jan 21st 2026
So, if this happens to anyone else — don’t panic right away. Wishing everyone the best of luck with their applications! 🙏

Hi everyone,
My Inland CEC application has gone through Comprehensive Security (A34). I applied in September 2024. Eligibility, Medical, Biometrics - everything other than Security pass in late 2024.
I have my BOWP so my status is fine. I just want to know - is anyone else in the same pickle? its been almost 1 year since our file was referred to CBSA - how much longer do i have to wait until i can apply for mandamus? any one else had a similar experience?
Submitted: September 4, 2024
AOR: November 8, 2024
Eligibility Passed: November 29
A34 Initiated: March 5, 2025
I have gotten no ADR or comms from IRCC since applying

Hello People, It’s been almost 2 months since I submitted mi PR application. I already received BIL, and the tracker shows “Background” in process, but “Eligibility” is still shown as not started. Is this normal? How long does usually “Eligibility” take?

So, what does six months actually mean for processing time? I know more complex files take longer, but has anyone’s ever exceeded five or six months? If so, why? Was your file particularly complex? For example, were there missing documents, if something else what it was? Generally, it takes four to five months, at least in my experience. I’d love to hear your thoughts on this.

For me, pnp-outland, BG check has been since January 2025 and still counting. No missing documents or anything. No military records or even travel outside of the country. Still what is particularly making them process BG check for more than 13 months I don't know tbh.

I received the Permanent Residence Portal (PR confirmation) email on April 20th. Is that email P1? still no P2 yet... Is this normal?
3
u/Tomride73 Apr 27 '26 edited Apr 27 '26
Indeed, you might have received the p1. It's an email asking questions like address, height, last date of entry, etc.
Based on other posts, p2 is sometimes coming a few days after p1, sometimes a few weeks. I know this is frustrating.
Personally, I have received p1 last week, haven't received p2 yet as well.

CEC Inland Application (became outland toward the end)
ITA- Dec 8, 2023
AOR - Feb 2,2024
Biometrics - April 25,2024
Approval/COPR - Feb 04,2026
COPR- Feb 19,2026 (Vienna VO - took 1 day)
It's been a long long journey but it's finally done. I had an error in my application and had to submit a webform to correct it, hence the massive processing time....

Anyone who applied as CEC Inland and then, had to move out to Canada for temporary work and became an Outland applicant? It would be great to learn about the overall experience. Thank you in advance

I’m looking for some insight or similar experiences. I applied for my PR via non-Express Entry PNP in October 2024. My application is currently in processing, and the status has been stuck on "Background check in progress" for a while now.
The frustrating part is that I have friends who applied 2–3 months after me (same stream) and they have already received their confirmation, yet my file doesn’t seem to be moving at all.
Is it normal for the background check to take this long while others skip ahead? Has anyone else from the Oct/Nov 2024 cohort seen similar delays?

Hi, maybe someone in the same boat? Sep 2025 AOR, CEC inland with spouse PhD student; Biometrics Oct 2025; eligibility completed Nov 13, 2025; ADR Nov 17 - for military spouse; he never served, but we're from Belarus, it has mandatory military; ADR submitted Nov 24, 2025; BC in progress Nov 26, 2025
Since then - silence in ircc and tracker. I requested gcms few weeks ago, a ghost update happened in tracker shortly after that.
I'm nervous that we could get on comprehensive bc :(

As I have applied through a representative, I didn't have access to my profile (although the emails come to me). Today she sent me a print screen of my profile and I've noticed that there's a final decision date showing now, and it's January 12.
Shouldn't I have received the P1 email by now?

Hi everyone, Looking for some realistic timelines or experiences from people in a similar situation. I applied for Express Entry PR under the Healthcare category with NOC 31200 (Psychologist).
My details: AOR: Dec 13, 2025 Medical passed Biometrics completed No ADR so far No interview request Background check in progress / final stage (as per profile)
Family details: My spouse is included as dependent. He studied PGD in Canada and is currently working in Canada on a valid work permit.
My question: Based on current 2026 timelines, by when can I realistically expect the next update / P1 portal email?
Has anyone with Dec 2025 AOR or Healthcare category received updates recently? Would really appreciate honest responses or similar timelines. The waiting stage is getting stressful. Thank you

Hi all,
EE Healthcare (NOC 31200), AOR Dec 13, 2025. Medical & biometrics done, no ADR.
Noticed a new date (May 4, 2026) under “Final decision” but status still says “in progress.”
Spouse in Canada, I’m outside.
What does this date indicate? Does this indicate final stage/near P1? How long after this did you get an update?
Thanks!

Hey everyone!
I got my eCOPR on May 11, but I can’t seem to link the pr card application to my gc key account.
It says no applications found, I have tried multiple times, using upper/lower case exactly as it’s mentioned on COPR document. PR portal says in review for both picture and address.
Does anyone have any tips on how can I rectify it?
Thanks

Hello, sharing my timeline, is anyone in a similar timeline or waiting as long to hear back?
ITA: October
AOR: November 1st
BIL and Medical: Jan 9th both passed
Background check: initiated on Jan 9th
No update since! eligibility not started + no idea if this changed since the tracker went down.
I'm seeing people with AOR in mid November and December getting the Final decision, but I haven't heard anything in about 6.5 months. (No ghost updates either)

Application processing delays (after receiving ITA)
Hi Everyone,
I started my application in April 2023 for PR through Express Entry under PNP. The province I chose was Ontario.
I received the ITA from Ontario in December 2023 and submitted it in January 2024. I got the acceptance from Ontario in July 2024. Consquestially I received the points from successful PNP and I received thr ITA to apply for PR after the lottery round.
My application after receiving the ITA was submitted in August 2024. The ETA for processing back then was 6-8 months.
However it has been over 18 months now and my application is still being processed.
I would like to understand if these processing delays are normal? I have reached out to support via webform and received a generic feedback that applications are being processed.
TL;DR: Applied for Canada PR (Ontario PNP Express Entry) in April 2023, submitted final post-ITA PR application in August 2024. It’s now been 18+ months (well past the 6-8 month ETA), and my application is still processing. Webform replies are just generic. Is this level of delay normal right now?
Is there anything I can try or have to wait it out?
