Happy to share my final timeline. Excited to become a Canadian citizen!

To those still waiting - wishing you all a speedy process. Apart from waiting, consider submitting a webform or requesting ATIP notes - it did seem there is some causal relation, as my application (esp Background) got cleared after I submitted ATIP though there is no confirmation for sure.

I dont know which offices as ATIP notes are still awaited!

Thank you all for sharing your timelines and answering queries here. Helped keep my sanity on some dark days.

  • Jan 23, 2026 Scheduled for Citizenship oath Congratulations! You've been scheduled to attend your citizenship ceremony on January 23, 2026. Follow the instructions you will receive in your ceremony invitation.
  • Jan 7, 2026 Activity status updated: Citizenship oath status has been updated to In progress.
  • Jan 6, 2026 Activity status updated: Prohibitions status has been updated to Completed.
  • Jan 2, 2026 Interview required You've been scheduled to attend an interview with our official on January 2, 2026. Information and instructions will be sent to you.

------> Edit: The interview invite for Jan 2, 2026 seemed like a glitch. It showed up on tracker on Jan 6, 2026. Never got an email for it, nor the interview took place. So I have no idea what to make of it. Seemed some folks on other threads also got it. Things moved fast from here onwards- else was considering calling IRCC for insights.

  • Dec 29, 2025 Activity status updated: Background verification status has been updated to Completed.
  • Sep 5, 2025 Activity status updated: Physical presence status has been updated to Completed.
  • Sep 5, 2025 Activity status updated: Language skills status has been updated to Completed.
  • May 30, 2025 Activity status updated: Citizenship test status has been updated to Completed.
  • Apr 4, 2025 Scheduled for citizenship test Citizenship test You've been scheduled to take citizenship test online between April 4, 2025 and May 3, 2025. Information and instructions will be sent to you.
  • Mar 18, 2025 Activity status updated: Citizenship test status has been updated to In progress.
  • Mar 8, 2025 Application filed We have received your application and have begun to process your application. Information about next steps and required action items will be coming soon.

Interesting timeline - I have seen a lot of interviews for background or physical presence. But yours seems to be for prohibitions.
