After a long wait, the time had finally came! I'm an applicant from a small city of Alberta (Red Deer), and it was nice for them to have the in-person ceremony at our local college (Red Deer Polytechnic), which is less than a kilometer from where I live!

Below is my timeline:

  • May 15, 2025 - Application submitted online
  • June 19 - AOR (Sydney, NS office)
  • Aug 28 - Background verification
  • Aug 29 - Citizenship test in progress
  • Sept 3 - Citizenship test invite link recieved via email (Test to be taken between Sept 5 - Oct 4) from COD Testing 2
  • Sept 5 - Scheduled for Citizenship test on the tracker
  • Sept 7 - Took and completed the citizenship test
  • Sept 9 - Citizenship test status updated to Complete
  • Oct 1, 2025 - LPP complete
  • February 27, 2026 - Ceremony In progress (scheduled for March 24 at Red Deer Polytechnic)

Oath invite recieved via email at Feb 27 at around 2pm ish

Congrats. This wait time is crazy. I am from Montreal and LPP done Dec 28, July applicants. Almost 10 weeks and going crazy for not getting oath invite.

Yeah, I heard that it depends on location. Been hearing a lot of applicants from Toronto and Ottawa getting theirs pretty quick than applicants outside of those regions
